The KSK podcast returns with a whimper as PUNTE and Brandon from Ramblings of the Unmotivated (and now Gunaxin) run down the cancellation of Sunday Night Football, discuss the joys of getting drunk with a clown in Vegas, and the latest spreads for Week 8 action in the NFL. And if that wasn’t enough of a trainwreck, the duo FINALLY air the “lost” interview with Jay Busbee of Yahoo!’s Devil Ball Golf and From The Marbles (NASCAR) blogs. Christmas Ape joins the interview via phone as well. It’s the most soothing train wreck to which you’ll ever have the pleasure of listening. Rob Iracane enters The Dojo to break down the WBC and accept our unabated indifference. Matt Ufford joins us in the second half hour to discuss how all of his Seattle teams are buying players from Cincinnati. Better sound quality this week, but probably because we drank through the show. And I forgot Tas Melas and called J.D. “J.T.” Whoops.

Christmas Ape joins me in studio for a very special HOUSE OF PUNTE, and by special, I mean it’s almost above average. This was the first attempt to tape the show in a single, continuous recording, and you’ll soon hear that the results were a bit mixed.

Ape and I talk Vikings, TV, and Watchmen with Drew Magary. I plan to ask Drew about his book, and then don’t. And oh yeah, the Vikes already closed the deal with Sage and LA apparently is getting a new NFL stadium. And apparently people are still watching SNL.

Proprietor of the Greatest Mustache On The Internet A.J. Daulerio checks in to discuss the nuts and bolts of being The Man at Deadspin as a seemingly neverending wave of changes washes through the Gawker network. And, no, we really don’t know who’s doing the Chandler tweet, which appears to be a moot point.

It’s almost a race to see which quarterback fucks up first. And I put it that way so that the opposing defense doesn’t get any credit when it happens! As the undercard to the AFC slugfest (puntfest?), this game will probably be the most watchable, as it features two teams that throw first and ask questions later. Plus these quarterbacks are relatively well-groomed!

The level of Ohioism on today’s show is off the scale. Our bad. Barring some unforeseen spurt of whirlwind activity and/or stunning levels of logistical prowess, this will be our last show for 2008. But don’t think of this as some sort of year-end special; that would have been disrespectful to the Jews in some way, I’m sure. The show will return in 2009, better and more organized that what’s been rolled out to date (even though our current format has been generally well-received). And maybe it won’t hog all the memory on your MP3 player, either.
