Why this picture? Because when you search Getty Images for “Cowboys” this is one of the first ones that comes up and who doesn’t want to see Jerry Jones with two young ladies at a debutante ball in light of the recent images released of him cavorting with strippers. I’m sure these nice young ladies’ fathers are having a rough week worrying about what might have been.
Full slate of games this afternoon with — as far as the preseason goes — a couple of interesting matchups for at least the first quarter or however long the starters last.
We finally get to finally get to see Aaron Rodgers in action this summer and the Rams? Well, they have that ice bucket challenge for ALS drill down pat in case Sam Bradford’s knee explodes. This is already the third preseason game for the Giants who so far haven’t looked very impressive in their first two outings under Ben McAdoo’s new look offense and the Colts don’t seem like a team you can really get your grove back playing against. Reggie Wayne of course is still listed as questionable for Indy, but doubt we’ll see him today even though he’s supposedly begging to play at some point this preseason.
After spending the week getting to fights during joint practices with the Raiders under extra security thanks to a “gang concern” in Oxnard, the Cowboys should be tuned to play the Baltimore Stabbies. The Steelers and Bills have also practicing together all week, so it should be interesting to see if the familiarity translates into at least a watchable preseason game through the half.
Bucs-Dolphins, Cards-Vikings and Falcons-Texans are for the diehards and getting home at 2am and falling asleep to whichever one is rerunning on the NFL Network.
