Jaguars owner Shahid Khan had some rich man’s real talk for the business community in Jacksonville during a luncheon at the Jacksonville World Affairs Council, which is apparently an organization that is focused on getting the citizens of Northeast Florida to become better informed participants in the global community. Good luck with that.

To a question about Jacksonville not pushing its potential: “I think there has been a vacuum here, I can’t explain it. A homeless guy in Detroit has more mojo than a millionaire in Jacksonville.”

I’m sure that will fuel speculation that Khan is upset with his team’s market and is therefore intent on moving the Jaguars elsewhere. Probably a hasty judgment, but still, that’s some harsh criticism of the business community.

Mostly, I just like the idea of a billionaire talking shit about millionaires by calling them worse than poor people. I assume a money fight broke out afterward.
