Say this for Mark Sanchez, the man has some courage to play for two of the toughest fan bases in all of football.

As expected, the former Jets quarterback signed with the Philadelphia Eagles today as a backup to current golden boy, Nick Foles, after passing a physical. Sanchez, who had hurt his shoulder during a preseason game missed the entire 2013 with a torn labrum. He was released by the Jets last Friday just days before he was due a $2 million dollar roster bonus.

Coach Chip Kelly praised Sanchez at the owners’ meeting yesterday stating, “I think Mark is a very, very good athlete. He’s started 60-plus (62 regular season) games in this league. He’s got great experience. There’s a lot of positive qualities to him.” Sanchez is expected to be ahead of former USC teammate Mr. Another Overrated USC Quarterback Matty Barkley on the depth chart.

Also announced today was a new menu item at the Linc to honor their newest member of the team.
