As promised, the Buccaneers unveiled their logo change on Thursday night. It’s not so much a new logo as a slightly tweaked and enlarged one. But yeah, it’ll mean new merchandise sales, so three cheers for revenue. The NFL always struggles for that. The skull on the logo now features softer angles so it’s one of the few NFL logo changes when a mascot wasn’t made to look more GGGRRRRR FIERCE AND ANGRY.

The Bucs also got a new alternate ship logo. Hopefully that ship also comes equipped with cannons that terrify Steve Mariucci.
