Pro Bowl Draft

Well yesterday was interesting. Selections were made within seconds, leaving lots of time to chat between the picks as producers went to shots of the Pro Bowl cheerleaders playing beach volleyball, names being listed on surfboards, video clips of former Pro Bowlers talking about what it was like play center in the National Football League. Unsurprisingly, Ndamukong Suh went first in the defensive tackle position and Mike Pouncey nabbed the first pick at center. The biggest controversy came in the special teams category as Team Rice, coached by Panthers head coach Ron Rivera selected the Colts long snapper Matt Overton, leaving Panthers long snapper JJ Jansen to Team Sanders, coached by Colts head coach Chuck Pagano. Oh snap! Or in this case, oh long snap!

Today should be more exciting as we get to the glory boy receivers, corners and quarterbacks coming down the red carpet for the draft selections. And since the Pro Bowl is treating this like a real draft, there is the possibility we can see some trades as the night goes on. Hoping Team Rice offers to throw in puka shell necklace for kicker Justin Tucker at some point.

We got an hour of the draft last night, tonight’s party lasts three hours(possibly running longer than the actual Pro Bowl), so grab a drink and settle in. We’re going to be here for awhile. May I suggest a couple of High Shirleys, the best trashiest drink you’ll ever make for the Pro Bowl for this evening’s festivities
