The NFC West gets a timeslot all to itself. Isn’t that nice for them? The headliner is the third meeting between the Niners and the Packers in the span of the last calendar year. San Francisco won both of those, hanging 75 points on the Green Bay defense in the process. Understandably, Green Bay’s defense is somewhat determined to prevent another humiliation.

Part of that strategy is making sure to hit Colin Kaepernick when they can, because that’s a pretty good strategy if a defense doesn’t want to give up a million points. Nevertheless, Jim Harbaugh considers this to be the Packers “targeting” Kaep for illegal hits, which is either gamesmanship to make sure the referees are watching extra closely for roughing the passer penalties or just being a dick. Knowing Harbs, it’s likely both.
