It’s been an active week for washed up players begging for jobs. It was just a few days ago that 39-year-old Terrell Owens was begging the Patriots to give him a call after Tom Brady nearly murdered his entire receiving corps on national television in the game against the Jets.

Now that the Browns traded away Trent Richardson, they are forced to rely on either 31-year-old fumbly old baby making machine Willis McGahee or the unknown Bobby Rainey. But what’s this? Here comes Maurice Clarett, who was last on an NFL roster in 2005, to offer himself up for a tryout to play for the Browns.

If Cleveland truly is interested in tanking this season, they would hard pressed to do it in a more entertaining way than bringing on a someone whose career flamed out even before he got to the NFL. Plus, the locals seem to have an affinity for him.
