As though being on the wrong end of the biggest comeback in the history of Monday Night Football weren’t enough, the Chargers are being investigated by league offices for the use of stickum during last week’s loss to the Broncos. Jay Glazer broke the story on the FOX NFL Sunday pregame show.

According to Glazer’s report, a Chargers equipment man had been hiding an illegal substance and distributing it to players. A line judge spotted it and turned it over to the league. Doesn’t presage great things in the short term for San Diego, but if this helps lead to Norv’s eventual ouster, this will be hailed as great news for San Diego fans.

I’ll already go on record saying that Stickygate sounds gross.
