By the time I got to the bottom of the comments, I forgot what KSK post I had just finished reading. All short-term memory was erased by a neon sign in my mind’s eye that read “BRUTUS BALLSACK IS AN IDIOT! BRUTUS BALLSACK IS AN IDIOT! LIVE NUDES!”
Hey Brutus….you know who caused this NFL lockout and forced the owners to shut down our beloved football, right?
A UNION!!!!!
Damn unions with their no working on weekends and not forcing children into sweatshops and fighting for living wages…
Waivers are not provided because a group (state, union, company) has a better option for health care, they are provided to people who can’t or do not want to meet requirements of the health care bill. In some cases it helps workers keep what little health care they have because if their company had to meet the reqs of the National, federal health care bill, the companies would drop their insurance coverage altogether. McDonalds threatened to stop insuring 34,000 workers if they had to meet the requirements and got a waiver. Waivers are also provided to “cadillac” health insurance receivers, so they will not have to pay tax on the benefits above what everyone else will get. Unions are the beneficiaries here. So, when Anthony (Big Tent Pole) Weiner says his district is going to apply for a waiver, he means they will be weaseling out of one of the requirements. At this point you retards know less about the health care bill than I do.
Does the health care plan accept PayPal?
The bill is national in scope. It requires everone in the country to have health care
Yes. And to accomplish that goal, it sets up a series of options. Included in those opitons is the choice for localities to “opt out” if they can meet the goals of the bill with other means.
So they set a goal, gave the options to reach the goal, and now are choosing one of the options. WHAT HYPOCRITES!!!!!!
Given that you can’t seem to grasp how basic this is, I have to conclude that you are either
a) a fucking idiot
or
b) willfully ignoring the facts in a pitiful attempt at your own brand of “spin” (HOW HYPOCRTICAL!!!!!!)
In either case, you would find many like minded folks in a certain party whose symbol is an elephant.
they change their stances based on public opinion.
So in other words… they do their jobs? Representing the views of the people who elect them?
Brutus, thats a sweet Brick Tamlin impersonation. “I DON’T KNOW WHAT I’M YELLING ABOUT! LOUD NOISES!”
If I post a pic of my penis, will you guys make the PoFlaWa stop?
If you’re really *not* a Republican, BB, you should definitely check them out. They’re into the whole uninformed rage thing you’ve got cooking. You guys would love each other.
Weiner is a hypocrite. You guys are spin driven. The bill is national in scope. It requires everone in the country to have health care. It is also a Federal Government bill. Therefore, and hang with me here dems with an emotional objection to logic, it is a National Federal Health Care bill. It is not opt out. My real point is, please stop making political spin comments about how bad one side is vs the other. democrats aren’t any better than republicans. All politicians are inherently greedy, self centered bastards. they change their stances based on public opinion. They will do anything and say anything to get elected. All of them.
TR – the health care plan is not opt out. The national health care plan is national. Some states and other entities (unions and other liberal supporters) got immediate relief as a quid pro quo for supporting it.
And who exactly told you that? Most of the waivers are for local towns and cities. A number of them are for corporations that didn’t support the plan. Are they all part of some vast liberal conspiracy?
Weiner was one of the leading supporters for a NATIONAL, FEDERAL Health care bill. Now they have to give people ways out of it, because everyone’s afraid of it.
So you’re saying they went back in time and changed the law — because the waiver aspect was in there as it was originally passed, you know — because people are afraid of it now?
I, for one have no fucking clue if it’s good or bad.
Yep, that much is abundantly clear. All that you know is that someone told you to be scared, and you’re scared. Nice work.
The point is, you can spin it after 18 months as an opt out, find a better plan, but it is, and was, intended as a national federal plan, so don’t attempt to bullshit everyone on this site into thinking it was always just another option.
Again, the opt out was in there from the beginning. I’m not sure how it’s “spin” to describe something as it actually is. The plan is a national plan in that it provides everyone with access to health care. (I’m not sure why that has you worked into a blind rage, but … whatever.) And as the president said (as Weiner quoted) if a local area can find a way to provide coverage for everyone in their own way, they can do that. Vermont is currently edging close to a more liberal approach of universal health care through a single-payer approach, which the law allows. If say, Dallas wants to find an even more market-based approach than the ACA, then they can do that. That’s what the opt-out is. Maybe you’d know that if you actually tried reading it and thinking for yourself, instead of — by your own admission — being scared shitless about something you admit you don’t understand.
But health care’s not the issue, is it? As your comment goes on, it’s clear you don’t really care about anything here but getting mad about Anthony Weiner, the Greatest Monster of All Time. You can’t make the case for him being a hypocrite on health care so you change the topic to … parking tickets? For real? And then your closing argument is “I’m right, because fuck you!”? Gosh, it’s hard to argue with that. I mean, literally. It’s like talking to a child.
We get it. He’s worse than Hitler and Stalin combined. Now calm down before you stroke out.
The point is, you can spin it after 18 months as an opt out, find a better plan, but it is, and was, intended as a national federal plan, so don’t attempt to bullshit everyone on this site into thinking it was always just another option
Setting aside the fact that you are fucking wrong about it being a “national” plan, how is changing things? If the opt out was IN THE FUCKING BILL then how can you claim that they suddenly pulled this out of nowhere? Clearly they had this in mind when the WROTE THE FUCKING BILL! CAPSLOCK MAKES ME SOUND LIKE AN AARON SORKIN CHARACTER DELIEVERING A RIGHTEOUS VERBAL BEATDOWN!
Ahem, excuse me.
Weiner was one of the leading supporters for a NATIONAL, FEDERAL Health care bill.
Well that’s great. Maybe someday one will pass. Until then, we have the bill that was passed, which is not a national health care bill and which allows for local opt out if that locality or state can accomplish the goals of the bill in a different way.
Is it supposed to be ironic or appropriate that Chilly Willy is your avatar?
The national health care plan is national
Except that its not. The plan is to be run with state-level exchanges, in combination with medicare, medicaid and private insurance.
Right off the bat you are fucking wrong,
Weiner was one of the leading supporters for a NATIONAL, FEDERAL Health care bill.
Well that’s great. Maybe someday one will pass. Until then, we have the bill that was passed, which is not a national health care bill and which allows for local opt out if
Can someone please get Brutus his daily dose of thorazine? Or maybe a tampon?

You and I will have to do what the scumbag, hypocrites like Weiner pass into law. Also, Weiner bitched about all the Foriegn Diplomats owing thousands of dollars in parking fines and blasted them. It was then revealed he owed thousands in personal parkinbg fines. If that’s not hypocritical I don’t know what is.
I am neither a dem or repub. But, I do get a kick out of calling you dems on your stupid positions as defined by the Dem talking points of the day. You are only effective convincing idiots and adding to dem groupthink. Why don’t you guys just admit that dems and repubs are human and subject to the same stupid weaknesses everyone else is. Would you have us believe that repubs are greedy, hateful people with no good ideas, and that dems are all angels who would never stoop to hypocrisy? GROW THE FUCK UP! AND KEEP YOUR WEAK ASS SPIN OUT OF HERE. TRY DEALING IN FACTS AND LOGIC. I AM GOING TO POUND ON EVERY WEAK ASS DEM AND REPUB POSITION THAT YOU GUYS INSIST ON ARGUING ON KSK UNTIL YOU GET EMBARASSED FOR BEING THE STUPID FUCKS YOU ARE. I REPEAT: ANTHONY WEINER IS A HYOCRITE. YOU ARE AN IDIOT IF YOU DENY THIS. SO SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Well fuck me, I forgot so many great Republicans. Like Strom Thurmond, who not only “failed” morally but “failed to uphold his segregationist views, by having a love child with a black lady. No matter, still went on to serve approximently 254 years in the Senate.
Saint Ronnie? Believed so much in the santity of marriage that he did it twice! And now the RNC wants to put his face on the $20, $50, and $100, which will be a great reminder of his awesomeness when they visit those lesbian bondage clubs at their next convention. Maybe non-resigner Mark Sanford can drop by, provided he isnt’ too busy using public funds to spend time with his mistress.
Is it really a pissing match if Dancing Baptist only pisses himself?
I just assumed that was a crafty strategy – DB pisses all over himself like an idiot so that his opponents will turn away in disgust and he can count the argument as a win by forfeit.
Republicans (some) set high standards and fail. Then resign
Unless their name is Ensign or Vitter or McCain or Shwartzenegger. Or Bush (the first, who had a long time mistress) Or maybe they pull a Gingrich, in which they fail to live up to their high standards once, then get elected, then “fail” again but lie about it while at the same time prosecuting the leader of the free world for the exact same thing they just did. Then finally resign but only after they have pissed off too many people. Then spend the next 20 years still part of the political scene as a top tier and (somehow) respected member of the Republican Party.
Republicans don’t “set” high standards. They pay lip service to high standards so idiots like you will vote for them, so they can then turn around and screw you with payoffs and favorable laws for their richest campaign donors.
Brutus, a hypocrite is someone who advocates one thing and then does another.
Weiner advocated for a health care law that allows for localities to opt out of parts of the plan if they can find a better way to accomplish the same ends. And then he said if his own locality could find a better way to accomplish those same ends, then they could opt out. So … Weiner advocated a law and then said he would follow the provisions in the same law. That’s not hypocrisy in the slightest.
Here’s the part of that Politico piece that was quoted:
“The president said, ‘If you have better ideas that can accomplish the same thing, go for it,’” said Weiner. “I’m in the process now of trying to see if we can take [President Barack Obama] up on it in the city of New York, … and I’m taking a look at all of the money we spend in Medicaid and Medicare and maybe New York City can come up with a better plan.”
New York is one of two states that pass on Medicaid expenses to cities and localities, so “the city winds up having an enormous Medicaid expense,” Weiner said.
The congressman was trying to debunk Republican “myths” about the health care law during a speech at the Center for American Progress. He used the waivers as way to describe how flexible the law actually is and how “this notion that the government is shoving the bill down people’s throats” is not true.
But thanks for calling me stupid, when it’s clearly you who doesn’t (a) understand the details of the health care law and (b) know what the word “hypocrisy” means.
TR are you really that stupid?
Or Crying John Bohner
Meh.
Not enough poflawa and spam on the komment section.
Every time I read one of these I just imagine Brittfar as Dilsey from The Sound and the Fury.
Britt Farr is disappointed that this scandal did not involve Congressman Norm Dicks.

Good point. At least we can all agree Bill Simmons is a tool.

Is that like the “if a tree falls” question? You’re getting to deep for me. I come for the football, and stay for the Grantland photoshops.
Is it really a pissing match if Dancing Baptist only pisses himself?
I don’t understand why I have to watch a Dancing Baptist Otto Man pissing match anytime someone says a word that rhymes with politics. We get it, you are the odd couple. If you want to defend someone who sends cock shots that’s fine, but try and let something go every once in awhile.
/obviously is intending to either escalate the poflawa or unify them against a common enemy.
/Penis joke meant to be direct messaged
Weiner is a hypocrite for supporting a law that lets localities find their own solutions and then says maybe his own locality can find its own solution? What am I missing here.
And Brutus: Try decaf, man. You’ll find it can be just as tasty as the real thing.
@Mandy
I also read this in Boomhauer’s voice. I didn’t know there was any other way TO read it.
Also, you people, always with the PoFlaWa and never with the GreOfAlTiFlaWa (Greatest of All Time Flame Wars). If you’re going to be argumentative on a football site, why not be argumentative about football? I’m way more interested if Marshall Faulk is the best receiving tailback of all time, or if it would be Barry Sanders if Barry ever had a quarterback that didn’t blow dogs for quarters. But hey, if you want to argue over broad political concepts anytime someone vaguely or abstractly mentions a current event, well, that’s your right. As an American.
HYPOCRITE: ANTHONY WEINER
“Weiner’s adamant support for Obamacare turned out to be ill-timed. Weiner was quoted in an interview published in Politico as saying that he believes his home town should join the long line of states and municipalities begging for a waiver that would exempt them from the law. Weiner, who hopes to succeed Michael Bloomberg as mayor of New York City, said, “maybe New York City can come up with a better plan.”
@And another thing…
CC like on an email… He doesn’t want your dong pics.
Oh, how I’ve miss Britt Farr on KSK.

What the hell? Did my comment get deleted? NAZIS!
Fucking off-season/lock-out. Fuck.
I was trying to send some similar photos, however I just had a point and shoot, but needed a macro lens………..
I will protest by sending pictures of my male member to members of Congress. How dare they do this kind of thing.
@DancingBaptist: Pretty much everyone in Congress, on both sides of the aisle, have problems with narcissism. It’s pretty much inevitable. Even if you’re not a narcissist when you’re first elected, you’re damned sure a narcissist after spending a few years with people daily kissing your ass (not literally) (well, usually not literally.)
For every Anthony Weiner, there is a David Vitter. The question isn’t why these narcissistic assholes show such poor judgment. The question is why, after they show poor judgment, do we re-elect them anyway? The only answer that I can come up with is that the voters, of both parties, don’t have any more integrity or judgment than jackasses like Weiner and Vitter do. If you’ve got a better answer, I’d love to hear it.
The comments on that Nat Rev article are priceless – So much pearl clutching and harrumphing.
Someone actually recommended that National Review piece seriously?
“I mean, how hard was it to see through Tony Weiner? Or an even worse mountebank, John Edwards, who positively oozed phoniness from every pore — and yet somehow wound up on the Democratic ticket as the sidekick to another pretentious poseur, John Kerry? Not to mention Maerose Prizzi as Speaker of the House for four infelicitous years.”
How does someone who writes like that — “mountebank”? “Maerose Prizzi”? — have the nerve to accuse anyone else of being a pretentious poseur?
Nice recommendation, Dancing Baptist. You’ve really helped disprove the point about Republicans being pompous assholes.
Republicans (some) set high standards and fail. Then resign. Democrats set low standards, fail, then lie about it or claim no ” conflict of interest “.
I mean damn, if in this day and age my S/O was running a brothel out of my house, I’d be in deep shit once he got busted. Same if I got them a job in the federal government. Or if say I was involved in handing out taxpayer money and my husband sat on the BOD of one in particular that got benefits.
Quite frankly if he wants to cheat on his wife – that’s between them. But he’s obviously got integrity issues as well as other problems (narcissism)

I really need to brush up on my Ladies of the Evening Case Law.
@Otto Man; prostitutes in different time zones CANCEL each other out. EVERYBODY knows this! WAKE UP!
@BB, he’s not above reproach, he’s just above resigning from office after he fucked up.
Again, Vitter got re-elected after admitting to banging whores. Ensign was going to run for re-election after he got caught banging and paying off his chief of staff’s wife until it became clear that the full Senate was going to recommend his expulsion.
After those two hung on, I was surprised Chris Lee resigned after trolling for tail on Facebook, and I’d be stunned if Weiner did for sexting like a dumbass.
Though I don’t know why other politicians’ wives who have been cheated on don’t do the same thing, instead of standing beside their husbands, simpering like a bitch, at the press conference.
I still can’t believe David Vitter’s wife literally stood by him when he admitted to regularly banging whores, in two different time zones no less. I would’ve thought the allegations that he liked to wear Pampers during the visits might have been the tipping point.
She’s a former prosecutor too. You’ve got to think she has some contacts on one side of the law or the other who could exact a little vengeance for her. But no. Standing by her man to the bitter end.
Isn’t he a Democrat? I’m fucking shocked. I thought dems were above reproach!
Who ever said that? If you’re talking about our conversation on political sex scandals a week ago, I suggest you reread it.
Here’s what I said:
Yes, Republicans and Democrats alike are involved in tons of sex scandals. But only one party has the people involved in sex scandals who had previously made a career out of posturing as being the defenders of “family values” and lecturing the rest of us on how immoral we are and how perfect they are.
Yeah, Bill Clinton was diddling an intern. But Newt Gingrich was the one who led an impeachment crusade against him for having an affair with an intern … at the exact same time Newt Gingrich was having an affair with an intern himself. Bob Livingston took over the charge, but then had to resign when it came out that … he had been having an affair himself. Henry Hyde moralized all day long about the shame Clinton had brought on his public office and how he weaseled around the truth … and then when it came out that he had ruined a couple’s marriage by having an affair when he was 46 years old, he dismissed it as a “youthful indiscretion.”
Both parties have sex scandals in their histories, but only the Republicans have so many “family values” scolds who turn out to be serial adulterers, child molesters, and secretly involved in ludicrous acts of self-loathing gay sex.
See? I never said Democrats were purer than anyone else. Actually, to the contrary, I was saying it was Republicans that lecture the rest of us on their pious “family values” ways and then get exposed as hypocrites.
Anthony Weiner may be an incredible idiot and a world class perv, but he never lectured the rest of us about how he was pure. Hell, with the frequency of puns the guy made about his name sounding like a dick, the warning signs for this were actually pretty clear.
Now, when Holy Joe Lieberman gets exposed in a sex scandal, you’ll have a point. And I’ll gladly bring the eggs to decorate Droopy Dog’s fucking house.
I also read this in Boomhauer’s voice, but when Britt Farr spoke, I always saw Boomhauer, too.
@DancingBaptist – Jewish wives typically won’t castrate cheating husbands, at least not literally. Financially, yes. Sometimes, stereotypes are true. Though I don’t know why other politicians’ wives who have been cheated on don’t do the same thing, instead of standing beside their husbands, simpering like a bitch, at the press conference.
1) He needs to step down.
2) Questions about his wife were beyond the pale. (CLUE: She wasn’t standing next to him)
3) Chris Mathews is equivalent level of douchetard to Simmons (17 hours and counting. REALLY?) and PK.
4) Does anybody else think his wife looks like the type to cut off his nutz and staple his “weiner” to his chest?
5) Does anybody else think ol BRITTFAR kept coming back because his wife got sick of him around the house?
