Well that’s a hell of a lot better than I thought I’d do. I picked almost every game this season, and had I actually bet on all of them I might have made a few bucks. I should probably have my own gambling hotline.

Seattle +10.5 vs. New Orleans

Earlier in the week this felt like a sneaky good pick. Now I feel like I was being a moron, but I’ll stick with it regardless. No team has ever been a double digit favorite in a road game during the wild card round. Clearly this is a special circumstance. Seattle will probably get throttled, but I’m holding out hope that the Saints will be stifled without their top two runners. Drew Brees has turned the ball over at a high rate all season. Hopefully I can get a backdoor cover out of a late pick-six.

New York Jets +2.5 at Indianapolis

Well I’m certainly not going to bet on the Colts today. I really don’t have any idea what to expect out of the Jets today. Hopefully they’ll be able to get some hits on Fetushead and run the ball effectively. And God willing, Nacho won’t f*ck things up too badly.

So yeah, a couple of risky picks that could pay off nicely if you’re in a playoff pool. I’m not sure I’d recommend them as straight-up wagers, but if you must choose, I’d go with the Jets. Hey, remember when you could just bet against the Panthers every week? Those were good times.
