Name: Ndamukong “Wossmamotta” Suh
What his name means: House of Spears
Strength: Fearless in the face of a killer.
Weakness: Driving
Definitive on-field highlight video:
Mainstream Media Comparison: Richard Seymour
KSK Comparison: Kevin Williams
Who Wants Him: Everybody
Who Will Take Him: The Rams, unless they do something truly retarded.
Story ESPN Will Shove Down Your Throat: How many spears does he really keep in his home?
Immediate Impact: Rams still suck.
Down the Road: Rams still suck. But at least they have a good defensive line.

I am a loyal Arizona Wildcats fan and we played Nebraska in our bowl game. At some points in the redzone, they would line Suh up as a tight end, and I actively at one point measured my tv, and then measured how far my window opened because I swear that if he had caught a touchdown that fuckin Sanyo was flying.
When your QB depth consists of Keith Null and Kyle Boller, you don’t take a fuckin DT, especially after you have gone D-line in the first round two years in a row. StL will set back their franchise at least 2 more years by failing to take a QB at 1.
Steven- The Rams drafted an offensive tackle last year.
Can I, as a Lions fan, hold on to any hope that the Rams will screw this up?
No?
I thought so.
Yeah, I know. They still drafted D-line two years in a row (2007/2008). Should have made that more accurate.
The Rams have announced that Ndamukong Suh will be playing all four positions on the defensive line at once.
slow clap for the “truly retarded” and “fearless in the face of a killer” pics. Those pics and John John talking about the sanyo flying got me smiling on a crappy friday morning!
thanks for that guys
@ Charlie
There’s always hope for the Rams to screw up; you could track the sun by it.
Don’t worry, the Rams plan on drafting Tebow and putting him in the Eric Crouch role of wideout/punter/waterboy
Don’t worry, the Rams plan on drafting Tebow and putting him in the Eric Crouch role: wideout/punter/waterboy/Lady Kenmore salesman, in that order.
@ Steven
I agree their biggest need is at QB, but Suh looks like one of those “can’t miss” type guys. I’d rather have him than Sam “Gimpy Arm” Bradford or Jimmy Clausen who managed to go 16-21 at Notre Dame. Besides, they can probably grab Colt McCoy in the second round.
Rodney Harrison just watched that video and is impressed by Suh’s ability to hit quarterbacks WITH THE LATENESS!
Won’t pan out. Putting on a Rams uniform just does something to you. If you put Epic Beard Man in a Rams uni, he’d forget out to be epic. If you put Mark Chmura in one, he’d forget how to statutorily rape. You get the idea.
You guys are all insane. I’m like totally LOLing over here. If you don’t think the Bears get him with the 75th overall pick [their first in the draft, 3rd round] then you’re living in fantasy land. They’re going to put him at free safety too. Oh, and right guard and complimentary back and center and left guard and corner and every position on the defensive line and he’ll coach too. Oh my god.
/starts crying
Caption for that pic – “Get in mah belly”
Looks like about 175 yards in NFL roughing the passer penalties to me. What a lame league this is.
can i get a CHUH CHUH?
Wait, somebody’s actually going to take Notre Dame’s shitty ass quarterback in the first round? I thought that was just a joke that had been making the rounds.
@Steven
Yeah, because no team has ever won a Super Bowl with a mediocre QB and great defense, and every QB drafted at the top of the draft pans out
/2000 B’More Ravens were probably the best team of the decade
//Still laughing at the QBs not named McNabb taken in 1999
///dick joke
Its so depressing being a Rams fan…we suffer more than anyone “NO AWWNNN DENIES THIS!”. But if Bradfords arms checks out fine, then we need to go QB (please no ferret faced Clausen). The draft is deeper in DT’s than QB’s…maybe Brian Price falls to us in the 2nd and make me happy.
Nice work (as usual) boys. Humble request: do a B.K.A.D.P. (“better know a draft pick” for those who don’t prefer brevity) for Lagarrette Blount. That’s all. thanks.
@Nathan: Maybe so, but it’s about comparative talent at positions. I think Adam Carriker is light-years better at playing DT than Keith Null is at playing QB. I realize Clausen’s record isn’t amazing, but neither was his defense. It’s not exactly a one person game. I would say his passer stats are more compelling (3722 yds/28TD/4INT/68% comp) than his win/loss record. Colt McCoy has the worst arm in this draft. Sorry, he’s going to be a bust.
@Desean: Yeah well, there may not be any can’t miss QB’s in this draft, but I guarantee you either Bradford or Clausen are better than Keith Null/Kyle Boller. I would take Trent Dilfer over either of those clowns. You have to keep your fanbase at least hopeful and you won’t do that with a DT. You have to go QB because the NFL is a passing league and you should show at least an attempt at making your team better at it. Ignoring your offense is hardly a recipe for success.
Truly retarded? Like trade down?
I’ve got Stoned Birthday Dog going before Suh in the draft….
@Steven
Michael Vick could be had for a 3rd round pick. Yeah, he’s not a great QB, but he’s better than Boller or Null. Chad Pennington is also available if you’re willing to take the injury risk.
Also, Drew Brees, the guy who just won the Super Bowl, was picked at the beginning of the second round. Joe Montana was a second round pick, greatest QB ever. There are other places to address QB concerns other than the top of the draft.
Suh’s driving school only boasts one graduate……. Donte Stallworth.
Go with Ndonkeykong. This year’s QB draft class is massively overrated.
@Desean
QB Dog Killer is useless. His time with the Eagles did nothing but show that. He has the exact same skill set as Tebow, but less upside. He isn’t a long term solution. Same with CP. I understand that there have been QB’s that were good in the second round before, but in a weak draft for QB’s, you should probably at least attempt to go for the best prospects. The best option for the Rams is to trade down to 3. Then they could still score Clausen/Bradford (cheaper) and get more picks, which they desperately need.
@PKBlows
I’m pretty certain that Clausen resembles, not a weasel, but an emu:

As a Huskers fan who has a raging boner for Suh, I can’t think of one other college football player that would have as great of an impact on a single team as Suh. The Rams have Bulger, who sucks, but won’t suck anymore than a rookie douchebag coming out of college. Suh would make Bulger better, he’s that good. Let him play quarterback. If the Rams don’t take them I hope their entire fucking city burns because they’re idiots.
/Spoken like a truly unbiased fan
Observations from actual football-watching (not just a highlight reel):
1. Suh does not tackle; he picks up and throws down.
2. When Suh throws a player to the ground, as often as not he fucking bounces.
I know the Rams will fuck it up, because as previously stated, they’re the Rams… but it’ll take a very special fuckup. I’m not sure how you fail at this pick.
Rams need to take a QB. Continuing to neglect the position is a poor excuse for settling for mediocrity. It’s the same fucking shit every year: The internet falls in love with a defensive or offensive line prospect and just shits all over a QB, coming up with such bullshit reasons as “I don’t think he’s worth a 1st round pick, just take someone later” (and that someone is always some noodle-armed faggot from a gimmicky college spread offense or a fast QB) or “DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS” (which isn’t true, stop saying that already). Sure, taking Suh or McCoy would be a good pick but Clausen or Bradford would be the right pick.

@ Cutlerfucker
(Claps hands and nods respectfully)
You are correct sir, the QB has most influence on a game, you cant win without getting a good one, 19 out of 32 QB’s starting in the NFL last year were 1st round picks. Sure you can step in sh8t and get lucky with a QB lster on, but your chances are better earlier. Also, this class is deep in DT’s, plenty of good guys will be around later.
the driving schools in our area are quite good in giving basic driving lessons.~.
