Your Obligatory Limbaugh Ownership POFlaWA

rush painting

As you’ve undoubtedly heard by now, conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh is putting together a bid to purchase the St. Louis Rams in partnership Dave Checketts. Believe it or not, some people seem to think that this isn’t such a good thing. Countless writers have chimed in with their thoughts on why an overtly racist windbag might not be the best fit for the NFL, and now Reverend Al Sharpton is is on the case. The opinions at KSK are varied as to whether Limbaugh’s bid to become the NFL’s newest owner should be considered, so let’s break this down with a little point/counterpoint.

Point: It’s a free country so why shouldn’t he have an opportunity to own an NFL franchise? Besides, trying to block Limbaugh’s bid would just give him more crap to bitch about on the radio.

Counterpoint: In a league dominated by black players and with its own racial problems, this is exactly the kind of owner we can ill afford to have.

Counter-counterpoint: HOLY SHIT, look at the tits on Susan Sarandon’s daughter!

At least that’s something we can all agree on.

Have at it in the comments, but please try to keep it relatively civil.

  1. dm72 Says:

I don’t think Limbaugh’s going to get the ownership, but a racist calling out another racist isn’t getting anyone anywhere.

  2. Captain Caveman Says:

I believe the PoFlaWa will quickly be overshadowed by the RaFlaWa.

  3. dm72 Says:

    Gotta read the tags.

  4. CR Says:

Fucked up. Yes its a free country but the NFL is a private corporation and would be absolutely within their rights to make a bold statement here by denying an avowed racist the opportunity to buy in.

  5. CPM Says:

    Fuck Limbaugh. Cock!

  6. GhostsoftheUpcountry Says:

On Susan Sarandon’s daughter…YES SIR…almost as yummy as her mommy at that age.

On Limbaugh…no way Herr Ginger lets Limbaugh in. He has enough trouble dealing with Count Al and Ole Double-Jay.

  7. Rocco Says:

Kinda along the lines, does McDaniels get fined for the Sieg Heil salute?

  8. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FOR GIRLS Says:

“Avowed racist”? You DO mean Sharpton here, right?

All Rush said was that a PC media was awfully quick to apologize for McNabb’s QBing because he’s a minority. Not like he said “Them thar niggers ain’t meant to quarterbackl!”.

But, by all means, let’s persecute every little thing every white guy says that’s even remotely interpretable as politically incorrect whilst being overly-apologetic to any attack on the natural racism of “white people”.

Because, you know: it’s because of white people that blacks can’t earn millions of dollars playing games for a living….

    RAFLAWAR ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. Reggie Bush's Pimp Says:

Given the bottom-feeder quality of some of the other NFL owners (I’m thinking of such current luminaries as Tom Benson, the Glazers and Al Davis), I’m only surprised that Limbaugh would dare sully his reputation by joining them. Besides, buying the Rams would just syphon away his audience (who are likely to be angry their hero would dare not support their teams).

And Susan Sarandon: underrated in-her-prime tits? I’m going to say yes. Thank goodness she passed them on down.

  10. dm72 Says:

Waiting for Otto Man to unleash hell.

  11. Gino Tourettsa Says:

Holy fuck, Susan Sarandon’s daughter is hot. But know what else is hot? Susan Sarandon and Catherine Deneuve getting sapphic to “Malika” in “The Hunger”.

Also, everybody knows that black people can’t ride unicorns.

  12. 85 Says:

I believe the PoFlaWa will quickly be overshadowed by the RaFlaWa.

Rack Flame War? Bring it on! I will defend those titties until my last breath.

  13. Monday Morning Punter Says:

Sharpton fucks white girls. And texts.

  14. GhostsoftheUpcountry Says:

Honestly, I think we need more material before we do a mother-daughter comparsion. Somebody upload Joe, Bull Durham, and any softcore SS has done stat.

Fuck Limbaugh. He can buy the Rams only if he moves ‘em back to LA and hires Chuck Knox or George Allen as coach. If he has to make payroll with his own money and gets taken off the radio, so much the better.

  15. Skins Says:

Maybe he should stick with trying to buy franchises with racist sounding names…Hmmm…Lets see there’s the um…
/gotta be better than Snyder and he’d be close to the politic-y stuff.

  16. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FOR GIRLS Says:

    BTW-

Our next communist-bilingual democratic presidential candidate will be an expatriate British converted Muslim-to-Jewish black-asian transexual female former-gay-male lesbian quadrapalegic AIDS-survivor who was adopted by a Native American mother and a Mexican midget father after being rescued by CFS from an evil straight white gun-toting couple who (gasp!) tried to enroll him(her) in a heterosexual-only Christian preschool

    /reality

  17. Marmalard's Asking Me Says:

Al Sharpton makes me want to punch a dolphin

  18. Animal Mother Says:

Sharpton will only protest until they make a back room deal, such as minority ownership (no pun intended) in the Rams. Then it’ll be ass-grabbing and nipple twisting for the cameras. And pats on the backs and handshakes in front of the press.

And then the Ginger Hammer will tell them both to go fuck themselves.

  19. MenaceIISobriety Says:

keep the comments civil, you say? here’s my rant following my regular Sunday massacre:
what are you, a fucking parrot? anything new to add besides repeating the same painfully obvious observations? IT’S HOT DOWN HERE IN FLORIDA! UGH! THE HUMIDITY!

    high five! anyone? nobody?

it’s taking every shred of self-control that i have not to dump all my useless slags or pick up all the dead/injured/unemployed players, to dilute this rediculous circle-jerk league and strip away the only ounce of good that’s left.

I lost by only a few points, which shows that Chris’ squad is just one rung above licking the boots of a dairy farmer.

why the fuck aren’t we offering points to kick return yards? don’t they fight for each and every inch just as an RB does? lousy dipshits. i’d rather play in an anonymous canadian league infected with pop-up ads for hard-on pills. at least they’ll come up with TOPICAL or ORIGINAL rips when i shit the bed every week.

so, any moves i make will serve to hand some unlucky cunt a loss that ultimately costs them a finishing place out of the money.

  20. Zack Says:

I’ve got no problem with Limbaugh buying the St. Louis Rams simply because I’m convinced that he’ll fail miserably and lose a shitload of money. He’ll make personnel decisions that will make Al Davis look like Albert Einstein by comparison.

  21. Outshined_One Says:

Hot damn Susan Sarandon’s daughter has an awesome rack.

  22. Lost in the Office Says:

Sorry USM, I’m with Flippy Floppy here. “Avowed” is a poor word here. Let’s not forget that part of Limbaugh’s schtick is that he is very critical of the mainstream media, and his McNabb comments were nothing different. His comments were, as you remember, that the media was so anxious to see McNabb succeed that they overlooked his flaws. Now you may be able to poke holes in his argument, but all he did was, if anything, race-bait. Something which Mr. Sharpton knows ALL to well about.

I will admit I sometimes listen to Limbaugh, don’t idolize him, occasionally laugh at his, mostlty bad, jokes, but one thing people need to realize is that A. he is CONSTANTLY misquoted or taken out of context by Democratic politicians and certain media sources, and B. he is a satirist and an amateur comedian (in his mind), so some of his quotes are meant to be satire, but are not depicted that way when quoted. He does say some stupid things, but don’t forget that he is asked to speak live for 15 hours per week where every word he utters is recorded and vetted

One final note: if Limbaugh truly was an “avowed racist” why would he want to give hundreds of millions of dollars to black people? Wouldn’t you think he would want to stay as far away from a sport whose superstars are mostly black? I would think he would buy a Polo team (is there such a thing?) before an NFL team

  23. GonePostal Says:

I wish I could unsee that painting up there. I will just keep thinking about Sarandon’s daughter’s tits.

  24. Gino Tourettsa Says:

Don’t forget that Dave Checketts is a fucking Mormon. They’re almost as bad as the Jews.

  25. Reggie Bush's Pimp Says:

Rack Flame War? Bring it on! I will defend those titties until my last breath.

What about 100 Small Framed, Big Boobed Girls?

I apologize in advance for any html fail.

  26. Ryno Says:

Does anyone know the breakdown of his ownership bid for the team? I know the man has a helluva lot of money – but if the team cost 600+ million dollars – Limbaugh doesn’t have 300 million does he?

Furthermore – if he’s just going to have 10-30% minority share in the team – who gives a sweet country fuck?

  27. 31 Says:

Countless writers have chimed in with their thoughts on why an overtly racist windbag might not be the best fit for the NFL, and now Reverend Al Sharpton (*An overtly racist windbag*) is is on the case.

  28. Sex Cannon and the City Says:

I really don’t have an opinion on this matter, but keep the tits coming!

  29. Dankus Says:

Limbaugh would field the first all-white team since leather helmets.

  30. GhostsoftheUpcountry Says:

Hell, make him and Sharpton do a competitive jack-off to see who has to buy them. First to squirt is off the hook.

  31. Shinons Says:

Calling a conservative racist = calling a liberal socialist

You can just keep it civil, call anyone who actually believes anything a politician says and buys into a political party a fucking retard.

  32. porky1 Says:

Ryno: “Limbaugh doesn’t have 300 million does he?”

    Unfortunately…probably pretty close.

Also, Sarandon’s daughter is a four-alarm titty fire. I haven’t seen natural, huge, beautiful fruits like that since the prize-winning watermelons at the 2004 Orange County fair. But did someone call Mommy Susan’s tits “underrated”? Those guns are practically urban legends.

Anyway, it’s too bad Rush isn’t bidding on the Eagles instead of the Rams. I’d be awfully interested to see how many Emos would support him.

  33. Unsilent Majority Says:

Lost- that was CR who used the word “avowed”

  34. LugNuts Says:

For comparison’s sake you need to rent Atlantic City with Susan Sarandon and check out the scene where she soaps herself up at the kitchen sink.

  35. El Nene Says:

@shinons – That’s one of the country’s biggest problem right now I think. Everyone has this extremist, us versus them mentality. Good thing we all have guns.

  36. Maxwell Demon Says:

If they could force Snyder to sell the Redskins to Limbs, I would support this. Otherwise, fuck that guy. He probably just wants the team physician to write him unlimited prescriptions.

  37. Reggie Bush's Pimp Says:

@porky: that’d be me calling Susan’s tittays “underrated.” I just think today’s whippersnappers just have no idea that the old lady that stars in the movies mom likes to watch with her friends was, at one point, the proud owner of some glorious funbags.

Kinda like they’ve no idea who Adrienne Barbeau AKA the cleavage queen of the 80s was.

  38. Mike From Stumptown Says:

Where the fuck is the nightmare fuel tag?

    /washes eyes with bleach
    //watches the linked vid

  39. OJ Incandenza Says:

I think there’s something crucial that we’re all overlooking, regardless of political bent: the Rams will continue to suck on ice, regardless of whose manicured hands they end up in.

  40. TF88 Says:

    Those tits were awesome!

  41. joe wade Says:

    people are actually debating this?

SUSAN SARANDON’S DAUGHTER IS HOT AS SHIT.

  42. TF88 Says:

Oh, in a league that has a large black majority in players/coaches I don’t see how Rush could be apart of ownership. It’s a shame as well because Dave Checketts knowshow to run a team. See the New York Knicks before and after he left.

  43. Stirring the Pot up Good Says:

One final note: if Limbaugh truly was an “avowed racist” why would he want to give hundreds of millions of dollars to black people? Wouldn’t you think he would want to stay as far away from a sport whose superstars are mostly black? I would think he would buy a Polo team (is there such a thing?) before an NFL team

Stunning logic there. Because no racist person has ever employed a member of a race they didn’t like, and all racism is 100% and explicit at all times.

    @ El Nene

If by “everyone” you mean a sliver of whiny teabagging morons who just can’t take the fact that the majority of America doesn’t give a fuck what they think, then you’re right.

  44. PirateSloth Says:

I’m sorry, what was this thread about? I was watching the stripper.

  45. pipster Says:

Limbaugh’s blow-up with ESPN was ridiculous. The comment about McNabb was a throw-away, Rush was trying to explain that Philly’s success was due to great defense, not great QB play.

Then that dumbass Tom Jackson threatens to quit unless they fire Rush. He and Berman are the biggest douchebags on TV.

Oh, and more tits please. Those were awesome.

  46. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FOR GIRLS Says:

“”Stunning logic there. Because no racist person has ever employed a member of a race they didn’t like, and all racism is 100% and explicit at all times.”"

OOOOooooohhhhh! A bullet-point argument! Because, you know, this is a VERY SERIOUS DISCUSSION!!!!

Way to illuminate the nefarious and obviously intolerable ways of the worlds most dangerous archetypes: RACISTS!!!

    /yyyyaaaaawwwwwwnnnnn…….

  47. Atomba Says:

    white males… so oppressed

  48. Gino Tourettsa Says:

Rush Limbaugh is an entertainer playing a role when he’s on the air. A lot of NFL owners have social/political views that skew to the right of that fat bastard, but we just don’t hear about them. Besides, if NFL owners don’t want him in their club, then that’s “basic free-market economics”. Even a Mexican could understand that.

  49. FLIP-FLOPS ARE FOR GIRLS Says:

    Oh, and:

In today’s society even a teeny, tiny itty bitty bit o’racism makes you a TOTALLY WORTHLESS HUMAN BEING!

So don’t get caught, or your life is OVER!

    RACIST PIGFUCKER!

  50. Just a thought Says:

Limbaugh is a first rate asshole, so it only makes sense that he would want to buy his way into a club of first rate assholes. Seriously, this isn’t the Salvation Army he’s trying to join. He wants to be in a group with people like the Double J, Snyder, Mark Cuban, Steinbrenner and a hundred other pricks who would screw their own mothers for a buck and have egos to rival any rock star or actor.

He’ll fit in just fine, and I’m all for it. Plus, just think of all the petty drama and potentially great KSKomedy to come out of this. Its not like the Rams are worth talking about for any other reason.

Of course, instead of flushing his money down the sewer with the Rams, a much better use of his cash would be to let every woman in America have her tits done to look like little Miss Sarandon’s. If he did that they outta carve his fat face onto Mt. Rushmore.

  51. Westbrook Is My Anti-Drug Says:

Worst PoFlaWa/RaFlaWa ever. Not that that’s a bad thing. Kudos to everyone here for keeping the conversation on what really matters… titties.

  52. Rosalita Sanchez Says:

All white males should be castrated and enslaved.

  53. LaFavre's Next Interception Says:

It’s just not a POFLAWA or RAFLAWA without Otto’s gentle guidance. Maj, thanks for the clip. She is wet dream fuel.

  54. RickyWilliams'sBong Says:

This is the Rush Limbaugh who thought the press was giving McNabb in hopes of getting a successful black quarterback, apparently having never heard of Warren Moon?

Yes, a racist asshole, and dumber than pigshit. Meaning he’ll fit in perfectly in that rusted-out shitcan of a city. I’m all for it.

  55. someone Says:

If Limburger buys the Rams and says something stupid / football-related on the radio, could Reichsmarshall Goodall fine him?

  56. SonOfSpam Says:

    1) “Avowed” racist comment has very little to do with the ESPN thing; he’s made enough “bone through the nose” comments to cement his racist status.
    2) Rush was NOT trying to credit Philly’s defense for their success; he specifically said that McNabb wasn’t as good as “the media” makes him out to be, because “the media” was coddling this Black quarterback to make him seem better than he really was. Somewhat racist, but really, just stupid. He had as much business being an NFL analyst as I do being a 14th Century Spanish Literature analyst.
    3) If someone refers to you as “racist”, rather than knee-jerkily yelling “OH SO YOU CAN’T CRITICIZE OBAMA WITHOUT BEING RACIST???”, perhaps take a good long look at your teabagging self. People fucking MARCHED ON WASHINGTON to protest a President who has been in office mere months. If it was a monetary protest, those same people should’ve marched as soon as Bush blew the surplus. In fact, the people blaming Obama for all our nation’s ills are the same ones who gave a pass to Bush on 9/11 “because he was only in office 9 months…it was really Clinton’s fault!” If you have no consistent logic behind your protest, and you yell things like “I want my country back!”. maybe there is just a little personal hatred there.
    4) Apropos of nothing, I was at Angel Stadium Friday night, and if there’s anything better than Bosdenfreude, I don’t know what that is.

  57. john Says:

Not one to even like Sharpton, so this has nothing to do with that bigot. This is about the other bigot Rush boy. A drug addict owning a franchise?
    Please!

  58. obit_rice Says:

Fuck Al Sharpton. Seriously, does he have to inject his dumbass into an argument because of “perceived” racism? Him and Jesse Jackson need to GTFO. Those were the same idiots who all of a sudden became huge Michael Jackson fans when he died. Limbaugh can buy any team he wants, I don’t give a fuck. As long as Snyder and Cerrato run the shithole known as the Washington Redskins into the ground I’m happy. And yes nice I support Ms. Sarandon 10000000%.

  59. Rocco Says:

    Sexy Monday?

  60. H Cuz Says:

African-American free agents will steer clear of the Rams, making them a comically-bad team full of WEL-KAAAAHHHHH type players.

I’m not a Rams fan, so hey, go for it.

  61. RickyWilliams'sBong Says:

…adding: And, Drew, it’s not a true controversy until Sharpton actually calls a press conference.

  62. Reggie Bush's Pimp Says:

Well, if we’re going to be racist, might as well enjoy a little Stacey Dash. I can’t believe that woman is 40!

  63. Free Ookie Says:

Everybody knows Rush is a racist, because lots of people have repeated it enough times that it’s officially The Narrative. Come on people, get with The Narrative!

  64. Shinons Says:

@SoS3) If someone refers to you as “racist”, rather than knee-jerkily yelling “OH SO YOU CAN’T CRITICIZE OBAMA WITHOUT BEING RACIST???”, perhaps take a good long look at your teabagging self. Is the point of this to say that everyone who opposes Obama is a racist?

@El NeneThat’s one of the country’s biggest problem right now I think. Everyone has this extremist, us versus them mentality. Good thing we all have guns.

Eh, politics have always been extremist. I’d say the biggest problem is that people don’t realize that a prerequisite for being a politician is to be a giant douchebag.

  65. Gino Tourettsa Says:

Ah, Stacy Dash- I would so give you the Sally Hemings treatment!

Also, “Moving” is an underrated gem of a comedy. There, I’ve said it.

  66. pipster Says:

Well, let’s add some “Fla” to the “FlaWa”. SonofSpam is a moron. Here’s Limbaugh’s full quote:

“I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. There is a little hope invested in McNabb, and he got a lot of credit for the performance of this team that he didn’t deserve. The defense carried this team.”

Maybe SonofSpam can explain why this is racist, or point to another “bone through the nose” comment that Limbaugh has made. I’m guessing that he won’t/can’t.

  67. Mo Charlo Says:

I hope he buys the Memphis Grizzlies instead.

  68. EDinCali Says:

Limbaugh is a good businessman. I don’t like his politics (at all) but I believe he would be an above-average owner.

Saying that athletes would avoid the Rams as some part of a political stand is pretty inane. It could be trendy for the first year, but that would fade quickly. NFL careers are short and most guys will do anything just to play. FA’s will go where the money is.

Sharpton is entitled to his opinion and I applaud him for taking advantage of a US media that jumps on his every comment. It confounds me, but I don’t know how many undecided people he sways anymore. Limbaugh and Sharpton are actually very similar, people will support or hate them but they never really influence people in the middle and they make their livings and noteriety on the obnoxious and vocal fringes of society.

It may just be cynical, but I’m pretty sure Limbaugh would not be the nastiest human being part-owning an NFL team.

  69. FOOTWEAR IS FOR FEMALES Says:

Why, this whole post is so non-serious I’ve responded only half a dozen times trying to rationalize my own racism!

And fuck Al Sharpton for attempting to defend the lives of the Diallos and Zongos of the world against the righteous officers of the law who decided to use more than three dozen bullets or shoot in the back innocent men!

I’d love to stay and chat, but I have to go harass interracial couples I see on the street!

  70. More tits Says:

Is the point of this to say that everyone who opposes Obama is a racist?

I can’t speak for the author of the post, but since I have a brain and can read I’d have to say that’s not what he said or meant.

Not everyone who criticizes the President is racist. But some are. And when you have a bunch of people bitching and moaning and marching in the streets for no apparent reason who continually fail to put forth any sort of coherent message behind their protests, its ok to suspect that maybe, just maybe, what’s really pissing them off has a racial tinge to it.

  71. EDinCali Says:

  72. More tits Says:

    @ Pipster

Jesus Christ, do you really not see how that’s at least a little racist? Especially coming from a guy like Rush fucking Limbaugh? And racism aside, it was fucking stupid as shit from a football analysis point of view.

As for the “bone threw the nose” comments, there’s this thing called Google. Try it, and within a 5 seconds you’ll be neck deep in stupid shit that Limbaugh has said.

  73. EDinCali Says:

hmm, should’ve read that before I posted it. Lack of a citations on that site.

  74. SonOfSpam Says:

@pipster: As I said, what Limbaugh said about McNabb was much more stupid than racist. I stand by that. McNabb is a very-good-to-great quarterback, and has been for 10 years. As for the “bone through the nose” quote…the exact quote was (said to a Black female caller): “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

Also, there was this gem: “I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

  81. Clayton Bigsby Says:

This whole “racism fuels criticism of Obama” angle drives me fucking crazy.

The alternating bogeyman routine has been going on since Nixon. Think about it… I mean Ford & Carter were complete fuck-ups, so there really was no reason for the opposition to be on the attack. Reagan was constantly under attack for taking the country in a more conservative direction than some were confortable with, & the first Bush only won on his coattails. The temperature was turned up a notch from the other direction with Clinton and his numerous scandals, followed by 8 years of even less civil Bush-bashing. Now, however, the democrats have found the ultimate political weapon… someone whose ideology radically tilts in one direction, but who people need to be reeaal careful with their criticism toward. Frankly, I’m surprised it took as long as it did to pull out the old race trump card to deflect criticism. Think about it… regardless of the subject being debated, once someone is accused of being racist, the conversation becomes nothing more than a futile attempt to “prove” one is not racist. Any reply that is given can only serve to further “prove” their prejudice (”Oh, you hear that? He has black friends!… he even let’s them in his house!”, “Oh sure, you may appear to be sensitive to the plight and struggles of black people, but today’s racism is more covert or veiled.”). The media plays right along, because even the select few in that field that don’t agree with his ideology don’t want to be seen as racists themselves by treating him “unfairly”. From this protected perch, the President is free to play offense against his political opponents. And since there’s no clear leaders in the opposing party, he has declared war on the most popular spokesmen for the opposing ideology: Rush (who has over 20 million weekly listeners), Glenn Beck (whose popularity has soared in the last year), & Hannity. How many times have these three men been in the “news” over the last 8 months? As someone pointed out here earlier, repeat something enough times & people eventually believe it. So the three most popular spokesmen for conservatism have repeatedly been painted as angry, bigoted men… and it’s actually a pretty brilliant strategy. Once the opposition has been delegitimized, one can accomplish ANYTHING!

    /dick joke
    //More Sarandon spawn titties, please!

  82. Slash Says:

    That is some fucked-up shit.

Anyone besides me suspect that Limbaugh wants to buy a team so he can have easier access to painkillers?

  83. Atomba Says:

  84. RickyWilliams'sBong Says:

    1) Probably because they are angry, bigoted men
    2) If these are your “most popular spokesmen” then god help conservatism
    3) Just kidding God, don’t help it

  88. Shinons Says:

I can’t speak for the author of the post, but since I have a brain and can read I’d have to say that’s not what he said or meant.

Not everyone who criticizes the President is racist. But some are. And when you have a bunch of people bitching and moaning and marching in the streets for no apparent reason who continually fail to put forth any sort of coherent message behind their protests, its ok to suspect that maybe, just maybe, what’s really pissing them off has a racial tinge to it.

Ok, so if someone don’t have a argument that you consider strong enough, then they’re a racist. That’s much better. You’re retarded if you think your statement and the other one is an attempt to do anything but try to brush off opposing viewpoints as illegitimate. “THE SPENDING BILL KI8KS ASS BEACUSE ANYONE WHO DOESN’T LIKE IT’S A RACIST!!!111!1 BECAUSE BUSH SPENT A LOT TOOO!!!!11!!”

Know what’s racist? That picture of Obama dressed up in a turban along with a message that he’s a muslim? Know who started that? The Hillary campaign. Know what else is racist? This broad. Remember those Geraldine Ferraro comments? Yeah, that shit was racist.

Democrats are just as racist as republicans, republicans spend just as much as democrats, and people who defend a party or renounce the other side as worse are fucking retarded.

  89. Biggus Rickus Says:

Why wouldn’t a lot of rich white people welcome in another rich white person? Not that I give a shit if Rush gets an NFL team or not. I just want that painting erased from my memory.

  90. evreche Says:

Calling the man a racist is the equivalent of the ad hominem argument.

Saying that it is cemented is a means of trying to discredit somebody without actually have to deal with them in the arena of ideas…and saying their ideas are stupid, well see the first point. Resorting to things the man said in the 70s as definitive proof of his ideals is funny. While he may have said that and been a racist at the time to think that he is unchanged only shows that you have heard all the times that he has denounced racism.

Saying that the media is racist and coddles black quarterbacks isn’t stupid (ad hominen again….) it is true. Rush was wrong about McNabb because he is a good quarterback, but defending the media as not racist and full of “white guilt” betrays ignorance that is beyond the pale.

Let the man own a team and stop trivializing real racism.

  91. LaFavre's Next Interception Says:

Otto not showing up is proof that socialists are unreliable.

  92. More Tits Says:

Ok, so if someone don’t have a argument that you consider strong enough, then they’re a racist.

Strong enough argument? How about having an argument at all? That’s the point. Lots of people are citical of him, myself included. Criticize him to death for all I care, but at least have something more coherent to say than ZOMG OBAMA OSAMA KENYA SOCIALIST MUSLIM LIBERAL DEATH PANELS!!!!@!!!@@!!!#@#@! When you pull that shit over and over without any logic, consistency or getting to the fucking point, people start to wonder what other motivations you might have.

    Know what’s racist?

People who STILL refuse to believe the plain and simple fact that our President was, in fact, born in the US and is not a muslim. It is (a subset of) conservatives who created, nurtured, and continue to jerk off to these blatant falsehoods.

  93. Alvin Mack Says:

    HEY a Rams post….kinda.

Rush with the Rams will be awesome because even when we blow there will be shit to talk about.

    Sorry, back to titties.

  94. Unsilent Majority Says:

SonOfSpam- Rush disputes that quote about slavery.

  95. Gino Tourettsa Says:

Limbaugh’s timing in the matter is suspicious- it is after all, Hispanic Awareness Month.

  96. Whatever Says:

Saying that the media is racist and coddles black quarterbacks isn’t stupid (ad hominen again….) it is true

JaMarcus Russell is feeling the love!!!!

Seriously though, the idea that the sports media, the same idiots like PK who we rip on every single day, has some hidden liberal agenda is pretty hard to swallow. Most of them are too busy chasing down Farve’s cock or railing against how blogs represent the downfall of civilization.

  97. pipster Says:

@Unsilent Majority – You are too kind. That quote is slander.

Talk about needing to figure out how to use Google. Still waiting to see somebody post a racist quote from Rush Limbaugh that isn’t fiction…

  98. El Dub Says:

I can’t believe there’s a real discussion going on about race and Rush and Rams. The tits on Surandon’s daughter are a gift from God. Let’s focus more on that.

Oh, and Reggie’s Pimp: small frame, big boobs. Good call on those. Those girls have excellent genetics (or just really fake boobs).

  99. GreatWhiteSark Says:

Fuck Rush, who gives a shit? The Rams are a failure and will continue to be with/without that idiot.

We should be talking more about 3 things:
    1.) Susan Sarandon’s daughter
2.) How many times Chucky will say “WildCat” tonight
3.) Which QB Jaws tries to blow on the air

  100. maxwell demon Says:

black population is roughly 13%. NFL black population is, what?, 70%. where’s the quotas and rooney rule for white players. all those darkies making big bucks, while poor whites can’t get a job…. quota quota quota!!!! it’s unfair, make whites mandatory 60% of NFL players. it’s not fair they’re denied big paychecks. affirmative action for white NFL’ers now!

  101. Shinons Says:

Strong enough argument? How about having an argument at all? That’s the point. Lots of people are citical of him, myself included. Yes, the truthers, muslim, death panels, etc. are retarded. But you’re ignoring the fact that the left, instead of presenting THEIR message with logic, consisency, or getting to the fucking point, just spend all their time attacking their attackers. The healthcare bill? They’ve never explained how it’s going to work or how they’ll pay for it – important components. Remember Paygo? What ever happened to that? What about the stimulus, spending bill, or TARP? Any reason we haven’t heard why none of that shit worked? Maybe there’s reasonable, rational explanations for these things – but we haven’t heard it, we’ve only heard criticisms about truthers, protesters, and talk show hosts. So are they, Obama and those democrats, racist for not having a message that’s logical, consistent, or concise like you say republicans are? NO! They’re just retarded! They’re all fucking retarded!

Take your argument for instance. If you only apply it to one side of the aisle, you’re not being consistent. You bigot.

  102. GreatWhiteSark Says:

Holy shit, a political debate @ KSK? When there is a fantastic specimen of tits to look at over @ WWTDD? Blasphemy.

  103. RickyWilliams'sBong Says:

@Shinons: You could, you know, read the health care bill and find out for yourself. I know reading is something only faggy liberals and socialists and “Yurpians” go for, but just sayin’.

  104. Shinons Says:

Yes, I’ll go ahead and read that thousand page bill that offers no insight into why the pieces written into it are there and what those pieces are meant to accomplish. That sounds like a great use of time that I might one day be able to include into a douchey, snarky comment.

  105. rush limbaugh's nutsack Says:

ive been treated like a punching bag since he put that bid in…

  106. FOOTWEAR IS FOR FEMALES Says:

The problem with your argument Shinons, is that you assume – among other things – the media has any interest whatsoever in disseminating the facts of the policy arguments at hand. Unfortunately, just like it was easier to get points in the eighth grade cafeteria by calling someone a “fag” instead of rationally deconstructing their argument, it’s easier to get eyes on a newspaper article by either saying or quoting something preposterous than to do an actual breakdown of the numbers.

But I mean, hey, a pox on both their houses!

  107. SonOfSpam Says:

@Shinons, Unsilent: Ok, I don’t have a source for the slavery quote. The “bone through the nose” quote has never been disputed, nor has the instance below…

In 1992, on his now-defunct TV show, Limbaugh expressed his ire when Spike Lee urged that black schoolchildren get off from school to see his film Malcolm X: “Spike, if you’re going to do that, let’s complete the education experience. You should tell them that they should loot the theater, and then blow it up on their way out.”

In a similar vein, here is Limbaugh’s mocking take on the NAACP, a group with a 90-year commitment to nonviolence: “The NAACP should have riot rehearsal. They should get a liquor store and practice robberies.”

So I guess you win. I was only able to find several racist, well-sourced Limbaugh quotes. Clearly, he has been a victim of my slander.

  108. Nate Newton's van Says:

Know how I know you’re stupid? You need to be told what to think by a drug-addicted blowhard radio personality.

  109. pipster Says:

@SonOfSpam: Almost your entire post is lifted from the web site for FAIR, a left wing media “watchdog”. Sorry, but that doesn’t count as “well-sourced”. Try again.

  110. Clayton Bigsby Says:

@ Whatever: What brilliant in-depth analysis you have incorporated into the discussion. With your ability to inject silly overused slogans into any discussion- regardless of whether they have any relevance to the topic in question- I’d say you have a bright future as a future panelist on Real Time w/ Bill Maher.

“Ya, like starting a stupid war for no fucking reason! YEEHAW!!!!”. You have done your faithful duty as a kool-aid drinking liberal sheep by dragging the Iraq war into a discussion that was neither about the war in Iraq nor the man who “started” it (I would have said “declared”, but the Constitution says that only CONGRESS can declare war but, since there was an election coming up- & they feared casting an unpopular vote- they decided to transfer their legislative obligation off on the President… which conveniently left open the option to either take credit or criticize the decision depending upon the outcome). The only problem is that your example makes absolutely no sense. Far from any type of partisan delegitization of either party, Bush was in the midst of a wave of national unity brought on by our country being attacked. Maybe next time you should just post “Bush lied, kids died” apropos to othing rather than attempting to link your mindless rhetoric to someone else’s coherent thought.

“1) Probably because they are angry, bigoted men
    2) If these are your “most popular spokesmen” then god help conservatism”

    1) Outstanding analysis… tough to argue with that undisputable fact!
    2) While many conservatives (myself included) may disagree with some of their more attention-grabbing stances & their pompous demeanor, it’s pretty difficult to argue that they are the “most popular spokesmen” based upon viewership/listenership numbers alone.

/your punctuation criticism was the only part of your post that made any sense whatsoever… but still falsely waged.
/ I’m curious as to which parts of my post were deemed by you to be dishonest… or devoid of logic for that matter.

  111. EastEndClam Says:

  113. Clayton Bigsby Says:

  114. Lofa Tatupoontang Says:

I don’t see what the big deal is. Just let Rush start his own league that is both separate from the NFL and equal in talent and entertainment. And only allows white players.

  115. Cutlerfucker Says:

OH GOD THOSE TITTIES ARE AMAZING

  116. J.L. White Says:

No way is Rush really that racist. He must have stopped taking his oxycontin or was just faking it. Obviously Rush is exploiting his racism just for dramatic effect, in order to purchase the St. Louis Rams. He is a racist, after all.

/making fun of parkinson’s disease is classy
    //more tits, please

  117. Reggie Says:

Limbaugh isn’t “overtly racist” and it’s borderline libel to write that he is.

In fact, the ironic thing is that this very website regularly displays overt racism towards Asians (smirre)!

The whole “Limbaugh is racist” meme started over the comments he made about Donovan McNabb years ago, which a)weren’t racist, and b)weren’t really even directed at McNabb, but instead were directed at the media.

And something people seem to forget: Immediately after Limbaugh made those comments, Michael Irvin chimed in with “Rush has a point.” Are you telling me Michael-fucking-Irvin doesn’t like black people?

But, hey, since repeating completely bogus memes is apparently perfectly acceptable on here, I guess it’s okay if I point out that Unsilent Majority likes to watch his 350-pound girlfriend get gangbanged by blacks after which she makes him lick up her creamy filling while wearing a dirty diaper.

  118. Whatever Says:

    1) Outstanding analysis… tough to argue with that undisputable fact!

Thanks! I see we can agree on some things. I mean, those guys are clearly angry, and they are clearly bigoted (Hannity especially, who is currently having wet dreams about his gay bashing of Kevin Jennings). I guess the only thing we don’t really know for sure is that they are actually men, but I’m gonna go ahead and take their word for it. Not everything needs to be fact checked.

    2) While many conservatives (myself included) may disagree with some of their more attention-grabbing stances & their pompous demeanor, it’s pretty difficult to argue that they are the “most popular spokesmen” based upon viewership/listenership numbers alone.

And you don’t see a problem with this? Yes, I agree they are the “most popular”, by far. They’re also a bunch of fucktarded assholes. Doesn’t it reflect pretty damn poorly on conservatives that millions of them are willing to listen/watch them spout of their BS talking points every single day. Seriously, Rush fans call themselves “dittoheads”. How is this a good thing?

Its also especially bad than any conservative who tries to speak up and say something that contradicts Rush is swiftly smacked down by Don Limbaugh.

As for the Iraq war thing, are you going to honestly say that the critics of the administration and its plans weren’t demonized as traitors, commies, terrorist lovers and pretty much everything else negative under the sun?

But I did notice you’re getting better about paragraphs. Good on you.

  119. Reggie Says:

There has been one white QB on the cover of a Madden game – Brett Favre.

There have been four black QBs on the cover of a Madden game – Daunte Culpepper, Michael Vick, Donovan McNabb, and Vince Young.

Guess which one actually won a Super Bowl?

No Tom Brady. No Peyton Manning. No Ben Roethlisberger.

But it’s RAAAAAAAAAAAACIST!!!11!! to suggest that there is a bias in favor of black quarterbacks in the sports media culture. Riiiiiiiiight.

  120. bobby steels Says:

  121. Reggie Says:

ITT blacks never put bones through their noses.

    Google “National Geographic” sometime.

  122. Whatever Says:

The whole “Limbaugh is racist” meme started over the comments he made about Donovan McNabb years ago, which a)weren’t racist, and b)weren’t really even directed at McNabb, but instead were directed at the media.

No, it started because he has said a lot of racist shit over the course of his career. You did know that Rush was a well know radio personality before he got to ESPN, right?

And the comment 1) was racist (and even more fucking stupid from a football perspective) and 2) was directed at both McNabb and the media, and was off base in each case.

  123. Reggie Says:

How the fuck was it racist, Whatever? Just repeating a bald assertion doesn’t prove it, genius.

Are you suggesting that it’s inherently racist for a white person to suggest that a black quarterback is overrated? Does this apply to black football players at all positions, or just quarterback? Does it apply to all black athletes in any sport? Does that apply to other races as well? If a black person thinks Brian Urlacher is overrated, is that n”proof” that he hates whites? Or is there a racial double-standard, in that it only applies to whites who criticize blacks?

Is all criticism of black people “racist” in your world? If I point out that OJ Simpson murdered two white people and was acquitted by a mostly black jury, is that “racist” to your mind? Can facts be “racist?”

Was all the criticism of Barry Bonds “racist” in your opinion? Is anyone who didn’t vote for 0bama “racist?”

Oh, and if Rush’s McNabb statement was “racist” then why did Michael Irvin immediately agree with it, at least in part?

    Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  124. Whatever Says:

Are you suggesting that it’s inherently racist for a white person to suggest that a black quarterback is overrated?

No, but it is racist to suggest that a black quarterback is overrated simply because he is black. Especially when its not fucking true, and especially when it comes from someone with a history of saying racist things. Hey, its not the worst racist thing that ever happened, no one died or was lynched or whatever, but it was a little bit racist. And stupid. Did I mention stupid?

Oh, and if Rush’s McNabb statement was “racist” then why did Michael Irvin immediately agree with it, at least in part?

Maybe because Irvin is a coked out retard? See that’s not racist, because he is, in fact, coked up and retarded. It has nothing to do with his skin color.

Was all the criticism of Barry Bonds “racist” in your opinion? Is anyone who didn’t vote for 0bama “racist?”

Not at all. I hate Barry Bonds cause he’s a cheating asshole who plays for a team I hate. Its a nice trifecta. The fact that he’s black has nothing to do with it. And lots of non-racists voted against Obama, and some racists did vote for him. But there were also a lot of people who didn’t vote for him because he was black. I’m really not sure how you can’t understand the nuances here.

  125. Monkey Business Says:

Seriously, couldn’t give a shit about Limbaugh owning the Rams. I mean, if he wants to light his money on fire, which is basically what owning the Rams is, go for it.

In other news, HOLY SHIT TITS. That is all.

  126. Ridley Says:

Context is always missing when people ‘quote’ Rush (usually sourced via MediaMatters, FAIR, etc.); given his usual use of satire and sarcasm on the air (YMMV as to how effective it is), most play those quotes straight when they’re not meant to be. It takes at least a couple of weeks of listening to ‘get’ the show.

In any case, Rush doesn’t discriminate on race; he discriminates by ideology (you know, like everyone else). Hence why he often has glowing words for Thomas Sowell and JD Watts as compared to satirical/literal criticism of Barack Obama, Jesse Jackson, Van Jones, and so on. He’s also always been antagonistic towards the mainstream media (given how often they’ve misquoted him and played the game of double standard, can you blame him?).

Besides, everyone’s missing the comedic potential here.

Imagine if Rush does become owner. And the Rams win the Super Bowl the year NBC hosts it. Now picture this scene: Keith Olbermann interviewing Rush as he holds the Lombardi Trophy.

/wonders if the fact that the Rams donate more to Democrats than any other team in the NFL has anything to do with this

  127. Reggie Says:

ProTip: Limbaugh regularly has a black guy sub for him on his radio show when he goes on vacation. (Walter Williams I think his name is.) Also, Clarence Thomas, the lone black Supreme Court Justice, officiated at Rush Limbaugh’s third wedding in 1994, which was held at CT’s house.

Sounds like a regular KKK supporter to me!

But since baseless name-calling is what libtards do best, I guess we can expect them to ignore all those annoying little facts, and continue to call him names like a bunch of low IQ preteens.

    Liberalism is a mental disorder.

  128. Reggie Says:

“No, but it is racist to suggest that a black quarterback is overrated simply because he is black.”

Limbaugh’s proposition was that the sports media is full of guilty white liberals who are eager to see a black QB succeed, because most successful QBs have been white. Therefore they hype “the great black hope” at quarterback, which at the time was McNabb. You may agree or disagree with his position, but it’s not “racist.” He didn’t say “McNabb is black, therefore he sucks.”

“Especially when its not fucking true,”

    Your opinion. Others disagree.

“and especially when it comes from someone with a history of saying racist things.”

Bullshit. Remember: Repeating a bald assertion does not do anything to prove a claim. Limbaugh has had the top-rated radio show in the country for about 20 years. If he was saying “overtly racist” things for 20 years, he wouldn’t be on the radio anymore. He wouldn’t have advertirsers or an audience.

“Hey, its not the worst racist thing that ever happened, no one died or was lynched or whatever, but it was a little bit racist. And stupid. Did I mention stupid?”

It wasn’t racist. MICHAEL IRVIN AGREED WITH HIM! And it was stupid to you, but it was spot-on to many others.

“Maybe because Irvin is a coked out retard?”

YOU are the racist! You are repeating the stereotype that black men are stupid drug-addicted criminals! RACIST!!!11!!

(See how easy it is to demonize someone?)

“See that’s not racist, because he is, in fact, coked up and retarded. It has nothing to do with his skin color.”

Again, I get the feeling I’m wasting my time discussing this with you, but Limbaugh didn’t say “McNabb has dark skin, therefore he’s a lousy quarterback.” Limbaugh simply offered his opinion that it was the Eagles defense (mostly black guys, by the way) that was the main reason for their success, but the sports media gave too much credit to McNabb because he’s black and guiltly white liberals in the sports media were eager to see a black QB succeed. HIS CRITICISM WAS DIRECTED AT THE MEDIA!

“I’m really not sure how you can’t understand the nuances here.”

My irony meter just went into orbit.

  129. C-Student Says:

as a black guy, (a tall, dark, and handsome one at that) i want Rush to get his own nfl team. then his racist, cracka-ass can run 53 other crackas, i mean caucasian athletes, out on the field on sundays. then we can all laugh as the other 31 teams and their “colored” people he loves to disrespect, embarrass his master race week in and week out.

  130. C-Student Says:

fuck limbaugh. i hate when you closet racist, closet fag, holier-than-thou, repubs and conservaqueers say oh, he has a black friend so he can’t be racist. just because you assholes are friends with some loser, sellout, uncle tom doesn’t excuse your racism. so the fuck what! oooh, we let ONE black guy in our house we’re cool right? FUCK YOU PECKERWOOD!

    uhhhh, GO COWBOYS

  131. Reggie Says:

America in 2009 is like Bizarro World. Rush Limbaugh is being falsely accused of racism by a racist anti-Semite like Al Sharpton, who is falsely considered a “civil rights leader” by our media elites.

People are more concerned with who runs a shitty team like the Rams than in who is running our country. Remember Jeremiah Wright? Van Jones? Bill Ayers? Communists, black nationalists, anti-Americans, and terrorists. But that’s not important. What’s REALLY important is that Rush Limbaugh once used Donovan McNabb as an example in a criticism of media bias six years ago!

  132. Reggie Says:

“cracka-ass can run 53 other crackas, i mean caucasian athletes, out on the field on sundays. then we can all laugh as the other 31 teams and their “colored” people he loves to disrespect, embarrass his master race week in and week out.”

See, now THAT is racism. Congrats.

  133. Evreche Says:

    C-student sounds white.

Sorry that not even the Jamarcus russell can get love because nobody other than al davis can defend sub 30% completion rates.

Hard to swallow that the media is racist? Really? How about the idea that the media pushes that Sanchez is the embodiment of Mexican culture when he doesn’t even speak spanish or understand his own grandmother.

  134. Reggie Says:

“closet fag, holier-than-thou, repubs and conservaqueers”

And homophobic, too. You’re a real piece of work.

“just because you assholes are friends with some loser, sellout, uncle tom doesn’t excuse your racism. so the fuck what! oooh, we let ONE black guy in our house we’re cool right? FUCK YOU PECKERWOOD!”

I believe we’ve just been visited by a semi-literate black nationalist. (Is there any other kind?)_

  135. Soul On Ice Says:

    Reggie sez:

“But since baseless name-calling is what libtards do best….”

Pot, you remember Kettle, don’t you? From the stove?

  136. Reggie Says:

Seriously, aren’t people getting sick of the race card yet? Shouts of “IT BEEZ RASSISM!!!11!!” just don’t affect anyone other than guilty white liberals and small children anymore.

  137. Reggie Says:

You know, when your hero Eldridge Cleaver wrote Soul On Ice, he admitted that he targeted white women for rape because he wanted to defile the daughters and wives of white men. If that isn’t a racist hate crimel, I don’t know what is.

  138. Whatever Says:

Besides, everyone’s missing the comedic potential here. Imagine if Rush does become owner. And the Rams win the Super Bowl the year NBC hosts it.

Rams winning the Super Bowl! That is funny!

Limbaugh’s proposition was that the sports media is full of guilty white liberals who are eager to see a black QB succeed, because most successful QBs have been white.

    Which is fucking stupid.

He didn’t say “McNabb is black, therefore he sucks.”

No, he basically said “He sucks, and the only reason people think he’s good is because of some sports media affirmative action which is taking away notoriety from some deserving white QB”. Coming from a guy who

    Your opinion. Others disagree.

Yes they do. And they’re wrong. Sorry, but McNabb was and is a good, sometimes great, QB. Calling him overrated because of some media conspiracy is stupid.

If he was saying “overtly racist” things for 20 years, he wouldn’t be on the radio anymore. He wouldn’t have advertirsers or an audience.

You wouldn’t think so, and yet here we are.

It wasn’t racist. MICHAEL IRVIN AGREED WITH HIM! And it was stupid to you, but it was spot-on to many others.

Jesus Christ you’re gonna go with MICHAEL FUCKING IRVIN as your voice of reason? A coked out retard? And again, its not racist to say so, because Michael Irvin is a coke user and he is retarded. If he were white he would still be a coke user and retarded.

HIS CRITICISM WAS DIRECTED AT THE MEDIA!

And for the nteenth time, it was stupid. The sports media isn’t full of bleeding hearts who are just dying to make Dr. King’s dream a reality through box scores and carefully crafted game recaps. Its full of idiots like SAS, Kornheiser, PK, Cowherd, Rome, Salibury, Berman, Reilly and a thousand others who bitch about blogs, fellate a select number of big market stars and teams while ignoring the rest, and spew out so much stupidity that a thousand FJMs working at a thousand websites couldn’t possibly fisk it all. You really think these people are part of some big conspiracy to elevate a black QB to sainthood?

  139. Ridley Says:

Anyhow, just for the sake of ‘balance’, here’s Rush’s take on the whole controversy.

  140. Soul On Ice Says:

@ Reggie – I’m actually referencing Val James, but don’t let me stop your furiously researched rants on ex-Black Panthers.

and, BTW, Eldridge Cleaver became a conservative Republican.

  141. Clayton Bigsby Says:

@ Whatever: “As for the Iraq war thing, are you going to honestly say that the critics of the administration and its plans weren’t demonized as traitors, commies, terrorist lovers and pretty much everything else negative under the sun?”

Ummm… no. They absolutely were demonized as all of those things… by political commentators, pundits, and fellow citizens. The point I was making was that the President himself, as well as prominent political figures from his party are now openly attacking & criticizing people for questioning them (all under the protective umbrella of racial sensitivity). The lapdog media, Congressmen, Press Secretary Gibbs, & Obama himself have all belittled and dismissed people with opposing views as mindless “angry mobs” that were dispatched by political strategists. It is inevitable that any protesting crowd is going to have it’s share of wackos & morons with hateful signs that hurt their own cause worse than anything, but I remember hearing on a daily basis about how “protesting your government when you disagree is the most patriotic thing you can do”. Now, suddenly, protesters are the scum of the earth (and obviously motivated by racial bigotry).

The funny thing is, not even the most libtardiest among you here can dispute that there were several inappropriate, “over the line” signs & demonstrations at EVERY SINGLE LOCATION Bush visited in our country… yet, I don’t recall him ever speaking negatively about his critics. There were large groups of people that shouted on a daily basis- among other things- that Bush willingly allowed (or had an active role in) an attack that took the lives of thousands of his own citizens… yet, I don’t recall “Mr. spit on the Constitution & revoke our civil liberties” Dubya ever establishing a hotline or a website to report people or websites that spread “misinformation” (RE: viewpoints or data that run counter to what the administration claims). It all seems like a well-organized strategy to limit or eliminate dissent.

  143. Whatever Says:

Ummm… no. They absolutely were demonized as all of those things… by political commentators, pundits, and fellow citizens.

Oh I see. The demonization doesn’t count because it was merely the political party, friends, supporters and cheerleaders of the Administration that did it, and not the Administration itself, which merely put out the talking points and the milk and cookies. And were also dismissive of any and all criticism or concerns as the worrying of a bunch of nancy pants who just didn’t understand that Saddam had to be stopped WMD 9/11!!!!!

he lapdog media, Congressmen, Press Secretary Gibbs, & Obama himself have all belittled and dismissed people with opposing views as mindless “angry mobs” that were dispatched by political strategists.

So that memo from Dick Army’s lobbying agency about how to stir up teabagging mobs was a fake? Good to know. And its a damn nice coincidence that all these “grassroots” efforts seem to have found a network as willing as Fox to cover their every movement.

Now, suddenly, protesters are the scum of the earth

That’s not new. There were plenty of conservatives that were way ahead on that theme. Try circa 2003-2008. Strangely, a lot seem to have changed their minds on the value of protest. Odd.

There were large groups of people that shouted on a daily basis- among other things- that Bush willingly allowed (or had an active role in) an attack that took the lives of thousands of his own citizens…

And those people are idiots who gave other Bush critics a bad name. Sort of like how teabaggers are giving conservatives a bad name. But I don’t recall the liberals at MSNBC championing “truthers” the same way that conservatives have taken up the standard for “birthers” and the like.

yet, I don’t recall “Mr. spit on the Constitution & revoke our civil liberties” Dubya ever establishing a hotline or a website to report people or websites that spread “misinformation” (RE: viewpoints or data that run counter to what the administration claims).

Who needs a website when you got illegal wiretaps!

Seriously though, if that’s honestly what you think that website was then I can’t help you. The POTUS puts forth a policy proposal. Wingnuts come back with shit about “death panels” and mandatory abortions and all sorts of crazy. The Administration thinks “Hmm, maybe if we could correct some of this BS it might help things”. So they make a resource available to people to try and respond to this crap. And conservatives respond with ZOMG HE’S MAKING AN ENEMIES LIST LIKE STALIN!!!!!!!!!

Even if he was, I wouldn’t worry about it too much. Those damn White House servers can’t seem to save any emails anyway.

  144. Ryan Says:

@Reggie-If liberalism is the mental disorder, then why are the majority of conservatives religious nutjobs who think a big invisible man is talking to them? That and the whole entire continent of Europe will gladly give you the finger.

  145. booferama Says:

Hey, did anybody win the PoRaFlaWa yet?

  146. Ridley Says:

    @Ryan

Oh that’s lovely, let’s go ahead and malign the beliefs of over one half of the world’s population (combining both Christianity and Islam).

Is it so hard to believe that people realize that humans don’t know/understand everything, and that there might be something (or someone) above and beyond our ability to comprehend?

Besides, the mathematical odds of the universe coming into being on its own without any guiding hand (aka, the ‘it just happened’ school of thought) are so infinitesimally minuscule that to believe that requires a high degree of faith all on its own.

They all do the same shit…Dems get control, they screw up the country!…GOP gets control, they screw up the country! The problem is, they know we are STUPID enough to pick a side! IDIOTS, please stop with the politics and lets get back to the wonderful melons!

  148. Jay Says:

I have only the vaguest idea who Rush Limbaugh is, other than somebody fat with a silly name, but so far as I know he won’t make the Rams any better as a team and I enjoy seeing them fail. Since I also enjoy firestorms of controversy, I approve of this idea.

  149. Mike from Stumptown Says:

    +10000000 HadEnough!!!!!

  150. DeSean Hannity Says:

Rush probably has a similar worldview to the average NFL team owner, but as a radio personality we have access to soundbytes that some would call racist. The NFL could, but shouldn’t prevent him from buying the team.

The McNabb controversy was stupid. It’s okay to say Welkah gets too much credit for being a WHITE WR, or Jason Seahorn gets too much credit for being a successful WHITE CB, but it’s not okay to say McNabb gets too much credit for being a successful BLACK QB?

I think Rush would be a successful owner. He’s a business man. He wouldn’t try to do everything but would put the right people in place to make the organization profitible.

  154. Ridley Says:

I second Mike’s suggestion of sending in Rex Ryan.

/doesn’t know or care who Rush Limbaugh is.

  156. clmetsfan Says:

Rush isn’t a racist? The dude once said that James Earl Ray (MLK’s assassin) deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor, and that one of the ‘merits’ of slavery was that the streets were safer after dark.

Oh, and just in case someone doesn’t think that such statements have nothing to do with his qualifications to own an NFL team, he once said, “Look, let me put it to you this way: the NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips without any weapons. There, I said it.”

  157. Brando Says:

I think Rush Limbaugh deserves to own the Rams.

  158. Major Mel Funkshun Says:

I think someone (coughreggiecough) has a man crush on the Rush. Why don’t you two just get a room.

  159. JDotMill Says:

“I think what we’ve had here is a little social concern in the USA. The media has been very desirous that a black president do well. There is a lot hope invested in Obama, and he got a lot of credit for his performance even though unemployment is sky rocketing, the dollar is down, the fed keeps printing money, the take over of GMC, the stimulous doing jack shit, him wanting another stimulous even though the first one was a failure, a 2 trillion dollar deficit for this year…4 times biggest yearly deficit during the Bush Administration. The Chinese carried this team.”

If Rush just goes back to this quote, switches around McNabb with Obama, changes a word or 2, the quote would fit perfectly.

In all honesty though, fuck most Repubs *except Ron Paul* and all Democrats *if Pelosi died I would call in sick the next day because I would be celebrating…hard* We should replace the entire Congress and Senate, get some fresh faces and ideas in there. First off, we need term limits so we don’t get these asshole career politicians, who vote themselves pay raises even though most other people in the US are struggling.

But in almost all instances, most politicians have money before they became a politician, and that’s the only reason they were really elected. Fuck em all is what I say, we’d be better off if all of them were replaced like a used tampon.

  160. Gator Says:

Wow, this is more slander and libel. No suprise; I’ve once again mistakenly thought a relatively funny NFL blog would not be yet another extension of our mainstream media. What crap. I can get NFL jokes elsewhere. Goodbye.

  161. Ridley Says:

    @clmetsfan:

If those comments (regarding James Earl Ray and slavery) were even remotely played straight, they would have run Rush off the air in no time flat. Guaranteed.

As it is, what are the odds that those comments were stated to illustrate a double standard and were taken out of context (like practically every other time Rush is quoted)?

  162. BaCsonkaDonk Says:

    Aaaaaaand here come the Paultards.

  163. Clayton Bigsby Says:

Rush Limbaugh is a racist, murderous vampire who has been known to dabble in necro-bestiality and cake farts. These facts have been corroborated numerous times by reliable sources. Just take a look at the following quote from 1998: “I’ll tell you what… you show me a man that doesn’t get at least somewhat aroused by the sight of a recently deceased well-groomed labrador retriever, & I’ll show you a liar. I mean, it really doesn’t get any better than that, does it? Well, let me take that back… because, while I’ve never seen it happen- imagine, if you will, that the nether regions of said canine corpse were to be smothered with chocolate cake & that somehow a reserve of flatulence were to be released from the egress of the alimentary canal… umm… ladies and gentlemen, I’m going to have to excuse myself for a moment. Let’s take a short break.”

Okay, now copy and paste the above quote (which he said ON THE AIR) on several liberal websites and blogs… then see if you can have someone plant the quote in his Wikipedia page (even if it’s only there for a few hours, it can still be referenced as a credible source). Let’s see one of these stupid, racist, homophobic, xenophobic, conservetards try to defend this sick fat fuck now!!

/sorry to get all “aristocrats” on you, but I needed an example slightly more outrageous than claims that he wanted James Earl Ray to be awarded the medal of honor & that slavery was a good thing. I think you’d have a hard time keeping your job if you uttered statements like that in a small office setting… let alone on the air to 20 million listeners. How gullible are you people?

  164. Soul On Ice Says:

“I think you’d have a hard time keeping your job if you uttered statements like that in a small office setting… let alone on the air to 20 million listeners. How gullible are you people?”

Apparently not as gullible as the 20 million cretins who keep this human dirigible in Oxycontin scripts and sex tourism trips to the Dominican Republic.

  165. Marcia Says:

sonofspam writes: “As for the “bone through the nose” quote…the exact quote was (said to a Black female caller): “Take that bone out of your nose and call me back.”

In context: Rush was forced to say that by radio management. He was still an unknown radio DJ at the time, and management wanted to try to make him into a shock jock, which Rush didnt really want to do as he knew that wasnt his style and he had no future in being a shock jock.

“Also, there was this gem: “I mean, let’s face it, we didn’t have slavery in this country for over 100 years because it was a bad thing. Quite the opposite: slavery built the South. I’m not saying we should bring it back; I’m just saying it had its merits. For one thing, the streets were safer after dark.”

Phony quote. Rush never said that.

clmetsfan writes: “Rush isn’t a racist? The dude once said that James Earl Ray (MLK’s assassin) deserves a posthumous Medal of Honor, and that one of the ‘merits’ of slavery was that the streets were safer after dark.”

Another phony quote. Rush never said that either.
