Maggie Gyllenhaal is legitimately attractive. I think she is actually very SEXY in Secretary. Not stunningly beautiful, no, but good enough for Spader is good enough for me.

My sister was once on the Paris metro, motioned to her friend and said, in loud English, “Yo, that woman over there? That’s Maggie Gyllenhaal in ten years.” Because nobody knows English in France, so s’aright.

She thinks the woman might’ve looked up slightly. Not sure.

Little later, they’re getting off the subway. Maggie Gyllenhaal-lookalike is still within earshot. And my sister says, “I’m serious. That’s exactly what Maggie Gyllenhaal will look like in ten years.” This time, the woman looks up and smiles.

A few months later, “Je T’aime Paris,” featurng Maggie Gyllenhaal, filmed on-location in Paris, debuts in French theaters.

She really did look like Maggie Gyllenhaal.
