First of all, the look in the dogs eyes are not because they are colored, but because they are standing on a table with a bunch of people behind a camera, trying to get them to look at the camera.
Secondly, no poodles were harmed in the process. They were done for creative grooming competitions that were held in conjunction with grooming shows. These competitions have strict rules as to the care of the dogs. These dogs are not abused, they are beloved members of the groomers families. And they don’t care what they look like, nor do the other dogs at the dog park pick on them, only the ignorant humans do.
