Hey everybody?

Just got back from the “Burgh”. And you know what? It was fucking fantastic. Thanks to Yinzjumboyournameistoolong, we went to the church brew works http://www.churchbrew.com/ in Pittsburgh and found the most amazing sight these rheumy old eyes have ever had the pleasure to rest upon. Also, as far as PNC goes, great folk, great park. Great Park. PNC is worth the trip. Also went to to the Hall of Fame in Cooperstown. Just. Fucking. Amazing.
But you know what the highlight of the trip was? Dinosaur Barbecue in Syracuse NY. Jesus Shit. that was some fantastic ‘que. 50 beers on tap, full bar and a beer and bone yard in the back for the layover crowd. Sweet!
Does it always ran every day in The Upstate? I’m just not used to getting my ass soaked on a regular basis. Try the Big Ass Pork Plate. Set your sorry ass on the strait and narrow it will.

PNC is a beatiful ballpark. Sadly, I’m taking my dad to see his favorite team (the Reds) play in Pittsburgh, as part of his father’s day gift. Yes, we’re driving from Buffalo to watch Cincinatti play Pittsburgh. A trifecta of “pathetic” cities involved right there.

Unh, Primanti’s once is fine, but I’ve never really loved it. Might as well go to Peppi’s in the strip and eat a “Roethlisburger,” which consists of “ground beef, sausage, scrambled eggs, grilled onions and American cheese and is served on a portuguese roll.” Or go up to Oakland and get an “O” dog, order the extra large fries, I freaking dare ya. Uncle Sam’s Subs cheesesteaks are good, Dee’s bar on the South Side is great for pool, D’s SixPax and Dogs in Regent square is great for snooty-beer takeout, Church Brew Works is abso-freaking-lutely phenomenal and sacrilicious, Penn Brewery is good, many different restaurants on Atwood in Oakland are good. There’s a new Hoffbrauhaus modeled on the Munchen original, it’s . . . basically a copy of the Hoffbrauhaus, but in Pittsburgh. Fine if that’s what you want.

Breakfast: Deluca’s in the Strip.

What have I missed?

Does the Bloomfield Bridge Tavern still exist? Great bar. Keep in mind that I haven’t lived in Pittsburgh for years now.
