The Lions should have pulled a Mike Tice and let the clock run out on their pick. That way, they wouldn’t have had to pick #1 and pay an ungodly amount of money for what best can be described as a hybrid between Ryan Leaf and David Carr. Then, if the Rams didn’t pick up Matt Stafford, the Lions with the #2 pick, let time run out again, because you know the Chiefs aren’t picking a QB. Now, you have the #3 pick, and well, Seattle isn’t picking Stafford, let the time run out again, and then finally, with the #4 pick you take Matt Stafford if you truly want to. You won’t have to pay him more money, and by the actions of one teaming letting the clock run out on them 3 different times in the first round of a draft, it could possibly bring an immediate rule change…like perhaps A ROOKIE FUCKING SALARY CAP!!!

I live in the Detroit area, and I can’t tell you how much I fucking hate everything about this pick- the dollars, the person, the position. At least I can go golfing this fall on Sundays without having to worry about football.

All this motherfucking hype about the Draft and they just go ahead and pre-pick before the 2pm Mountain start. What the fuck.
