The NFL took their sweet fucking time before deciding to fine Santonio Holmes $10,000 for using the ball as a prop while celebrating his Super Bowl winning touchdown catch. DOES THAT MONSTER HAVE NO SHAME? Truth be told, the fine was levied not because Holmes used the ball as a prop, but instead because his celebration was an homage to LeBron James’ asinine chalk toss. this forever taints this steelrs SB win & we just need to look at the 07 SB to see how much a 15 yard excessive celebration penalty cost randy moss & the patriots !!… the Patriots took the lead w/ just over 2 minutes left against the giants & moss was flagged for 15 yards on his TD pass…this gave the Giants great field position & they made a miracle catch & won the game …. no doubt the Cardinals w/ Warner, Fitzgerald /Boldin had a BETTER chance at a 50 yard hail mary catch than even Brady & Moss did… give Warner & Fitzgerald/Boldin 3 shots at the endzone on a jump ball & I’ll bet the Cards comes down w/ the ball at least once … …cardinals got robbed.

@j4b: there wasn’t even an excessive celebration penalty assessed against Moss and the Pats for that stupid chicken-wing/underwater swimming/whatever the fuck celebration that Moss did. From what I remember (and I was both at the game and have watched it a shit-ton of times on DVD), there was no flag, the Giants started their drive on their own 17yd line after Hixon’s return and drove 83 yards for the winning score. Not surprising to see a Pats fan engaged in some revisionist history, though.
