I am not a Fan of Rat Face but I respect his accomplishments. He has 2 super bowl rings as a head coach and not many coaches active or retired can say that. Has Pat Bowlen broken a blood vessel straining to take a crap? This is the dumbest decision by an owner I can remember. Rat Face will probably be unemployed for a day or two. I can’t imagine that boring, ugly little bastard in broadcasting.

Ironic? Why no, I wasn’t being ironic. I truly believed that Mike Shanahan’s wearing of a bubble-winter jacket meant that he fully intended to abandon NFL coaching to start a new career as a white rapper. I’m all for the Rat getting canned, he deserved it, but you are being sarcastic, correct? Denver didn’t choke away any playoff berth in ’07, they didn’t even have a fucking chance to make it they sucked so bad.

2008, Tampa Bay….Dallas….Chicago. Not quite as monumental as the Broncos choke, but TB and Dallas have their own choke/failure to make the postseason to reconcile…and coaches still have jobs. Chicago perpetually on the cusp of being a legitmate contender to make the playoffs but didn’t.
Backwater hillbilly status and coaching staff still intact all around for the trio….

As soon as Shanny ditched the GM and took over everything, our scouting and player talent plummeted. I admire his offense, but even he said that the offense was called by the QB coach last year, not him.

3 straight years of choking away a playoff spot just goes to show how much of a backwater hillbilly town Denver really is today. That shit would never have happened in a town like Dallas, New York, Tampa Bay or Chicago without the coach getting fired.
