Now now, there’s no reason to get all jacked off about this scene! Obviously it doesn’t represent ALL Steeler fans, but it’s certainly a pretty representation of a tanked Steeler fan, no? I think it was pretty damn hilarious! Not to mention cool that it was even in the film. Notice the fan doesn’t have the logo on, must have been too expensive. We associated ourselves with Tommy Maddox for 3 years & Joey Porter for 7 years, I don’t know why being linked to Zach and Miri was an issue.

Monroeville? When I was growing up there the only thing was the Mall. And that’s where they filmed Night of the Living Dead. Which, ironically, described the game last night in Indy.

I agree, VYS. And the drunk guy never would had to qualify the name Roethlisberger with “the quarterback”. No Steelers fan doesn’t assume everyone knows who he is.

That movie is totally unrealistic in its portrayal of Steeler fans. Totally.

In reality, everyone else in that scene would have said they saw the game and would’ve gone and on and on about some throw Roethlisberger made to Hines Ward. Even the naked people. The fact that the drunk guy was the only one talkin’ Stiller football meant the filmmaker had no fuckin’ clue what Western Pennsylvania is really like.

I caught it last night. Not fantastic, but worth your $8 (plus refreshments).
The consistent jokes keep the love story from tanking. I’d recommend it.
