HAHAHA!!!! I went to the other (original) high school in Plano, and still love laughing at this. Sure, Plano East killed us during the regular season, but we went on to win our 7th state title that year.

Why do I feel like Al Bundy after typing that?

1994 – I was at that game as my cousin played safety for East. Rumor has it that they kicked deep because the head coaches view of the end of the field was partially blocked by another coach – he didn’t see the return man deep, so they passed on the squib. Unbelievable.

What happened to the other 10 or so seconds of that 24 seconds that were left prior to the kick return? Seemed like the game was over after that kick return… that kick return didn’t take 24 seconds, that’s for sure-

As an alum of Plano East, this saddens me. This was the closest the Panthers have been to a state As an alum of Plano East, this saddens me greatly. That was the closest they've been to a state title. We got our revenge in 2007 though!
