Actually, check that: Most young QBs in their first couple of seasons starting don’t even sniff the playoffs, much less get a chance to lose a playoff game. I didn’t realize Roman Gabriel never won a playoff game at all (0-2), nor did Trent Green (0-2) or Steve Grogan (0-3). It’s just funny to me how many No. 1 draft pick QBs suck for most or all of their careers, but people call Romo “overrated” when he’s only played one full season. There are about 26 GMs in the NFL who would strangle their current starters to get him.

The expectation that a QB in his first or second full season must win a playoff game or he’s “overrated” does not match up to what happens in the NFL. I would put a bullet in fucking Huard and Croyle for my Chiefs to have Romo.

Yeah, people keep saying that, and it makes no logical sense. Young QBs typically get into the playoffs first, lose some games, get some experience, then win playoff games. Both Mannings lost multiple playoff games before they ever won one. The list of HOF and near-HOF quarterbacks who lost a few playoff games before becoming SB champs is pretty long. The fact that he’s 0-2 in playoff games means absolutely nothing in terms of his personal talent level, except that he’s at the beginning of his career.

Your argument means that you would take Matt Hasselbeck over Tony Romo. Good luck with that.

Um … huh? I could give a shit about the Cowboys, but I do like an underdog player who makes it big. Romo is an undrafted QB in only his second full season as a starter who is already a consensus top-10 QB in the NFL, most people would say top 5. I’d give my left nut for him to play for my team. Probably a little early to start calling him overrated. Just say you hate the Cowboys (how original!) and move on.

I think it’s hilarious how everyone at ESPN still thinks the Pats have a chance this year, like losing Tom Brady doesn’t really mean that much. They’re idiots, would it kill one of those ass clowns to just bust out and speak the truth? Anyways, I can’t think of anything more frustrating than being a Seahawks fan right now.
