Pats are on a downslide. No more easy cheatin’. Brady can’t pass if the defense blitzes. It’s a gamble, but one that paid off for the Giants. Brady is 31, and Moss is even older. Belicheat and his tendencies are well known by now, AND his team is older and more susceptible to injuries.

Jets look mighty fine. You can’t win with just a great QB, but it’s needed to contend in the playoffs. GB? They want to be like Buffalo or Detroit. Each decade brings on the upside, 4 wins a season, and on the downside only 1. No expectation of winning, a place where JP Losman or Kitna is considered “a great” QB and there’s always the possibility of a reverse perfect season — 16 losses no wins! That was the whole point of trading Favre. Get rid of the expectation of winning. Aaron Rodgers is the answer if the question is “how do I as GM and/or Coach avoid having to work too hard and win?”

Jets will probably win a few games they shouldn’t, on Favre’s gambling, and lose a few they shouldn’t, same reason. Probably a 10-12 win season, playoffs, AFC championship. I honestly don’t think the Patsies will be that good. Historically Superbowl losers fall apart.

tom brady is an exceptional qb, who is entering his prime, after having won 3 superbowls and throwing for 50 tds in a season.

unfortunately his muscle, ligaments, tendons, and bones are all subject to damage as are favre’s. At present, there appears to be no distinguishing between which one will fall apart first.

If I’m a gm, I get favre for the simple fact that your contract is 2-3 with far less risk than having to sign a tom brady to a 10 year deal…while there may be some drop off in talent, you can upgrade at wr or ol…

another finaical bonus-do you have to provide more competent protection for a guy like Favre, even at his age, or buy to protect the asset of Brady?

If I held a gun to your head and asked you tell me which one is popping roids with no abandon…make your pick.

I honestly think that eli and favre are clean, but peyton looks more like the michelin man meets terrell owens…

It’s not a bad thing, his job is to stay alive and avoid hitting people…if science can give him a boost against defensive players who are using the same products…by all means continue.
