While Dolphins fans are near orgasmic at the thought of a forfeit victory, the rest of us are bored shitless by the delay in starting the game tonight. Here’s something to idle away the hours while waiting for these clowns to fix Heinz Field’s latest drainage fiasco: Philip Rivers telling home fans to shut up during an early rough patch in the Charges 32-14 over the Ravens. We hear those hardboiled, cynical San Diegans can be downright brutal on a shrinking violet like Philip.

Fuck you very much for nailing all Charger fans as douchebags. Every team has a minority of fair-weather fans and the Chargers are no exception.
I had my season tickets through the good and bad seasons when I lived there. I still watch them every week and hope for the best.
I do however hope and pray that someone caps Norvie.

The ironic thing about this post is that my fellow douchebag Charger fans weren’t even booing Rivers. They were booing the two LT runs up the middle for no gain. In other word, they actually wanted Rivers to throw the ball.
As for Rivers v Manning, check the numbers. Throw in Merriman, Kaeding and Oben, and its a no brainer.

@um – very good point about how dumb it is to boo young qbs. It does seem to me though that Rivers deserves it even more than the black sheep does. At least the he has some upside – the best hope for Rivers is that he could be Chad Pennington 2.0. And if A.J. Smith hadn’t have given up on Drew Brees so quickly, he could have gotten him some help by way of Larry Fitzgerald or the late Meast.
Still, Chargers fans are, by and large, douchebags.
