Nice...I was more of a Tecmo Bowl guy myself. Actually still have my nintendo and still have both Tecmo and Tecmo Super Bowl working. My goal is to try to go through a season without giving up a point. ALmost got it done.

Never was more evident Bo’s brief athletic monopoly, than when Game Boy gave us “Bo Jackson’s Hit and Run”. And with the cover half Royals/half Raiders (teams in which I know zero fans) we were granted the option of playing either sport; a two-fer; subliminal.

Tecmo rocks. My college roomie and I used to let it auto run and come up with the playoff schedule, then take turns picking which team we wanted for a classic “best of 11″..

So we end up tied 5-5 going into the tecmo bowl one weekend. He has the right to choose, and picks the strong niners against the oilers with Moon. To add insult to injury, Moon gets put out on the strecher in the fist quarter. In comes Cody Carlson to my rescue, and Cody went for something like 400 yards and 7 touchdowns in the biggest tecmo upset in history…

We had some free time on our hands….

Frat brother taunted me mercilessly over a rather nasty loss in Tecmo. In the rematch I beat his Raiders with the Browns, 48-45 and held Bo to 6 TDs and 541 yards. (Hanford Dixon = shutdown corner). Greatest sports moment of my life.

The best was Detlef Shrempf back in the old Live 95. You could fade out of bounds and drill 3 after 3 after 3. You would not miss. I think Reggie Miller was that way too.
